After taking care of a neighbor for 5 years, I’ve seen the good and the very bad in places. This home was OUTSTANDING. I would put one of my parents or loved ones here without hesitation. The owners and staff are caring and competent individuals! Can’t recommend this place enough- you won’t find a better place with a low ratio of staff to residents, cleanliness and true compassion.
Placing my mom into an assisted living facility was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. I had promised her that I would always care for her, but it became clear toward the end that I could no longer provide her with the level of care she deserved. It was important to me to find the next best thing. I knew immediately after touring A Caring Home with Friends that it would feel like an extension of our home for her. The facility is a wonderful residential care home with private bedrooms and areas that she shared with the other residents. I didn’t want her to get lost in a large nursing facility. The ratio of residents to caregivers is exceptional. The administration was so helpful in helping us navigate the system of forms and hospice. Their knowledge was invaluable. Having never dealt with these things, it was overwhelming on top of all the other things our family was dealing with. The staff were amazing with not only her physical care but her emotional well-being. They were upbeat and happy when they came into her room or worked with her. Every member of the staff is a long-term employee, and you can tell they enjoy working there and providing care to their residents. This isn't a job for them but a calling. Our family was made to feel a part of her care with updates and lots of fun special family type events that made my mom feel special, like Thanksgiving. Christmas and birthdays. My mom was there for over a year and as her illness progressed, they continued to provide her with exceptional care. They always treated her with dignity and love. The final month of my mom’s life, she shared that she felt so lucky to have people who loved her and that she was very happy. I couldn't have asked for better.
I’m a little slow in writing this review. My husband was there for a little less than a month before he passed. That’s been seven months ago. The name A Caring Home with Friends says it all. It truly is! Whenever I walked in the staff was always interacting with the family. Most of the time they would be in the family room watching TV together or interacting in activities. You felt warmth and love the moment you walked in. Absolutely everyone there is treated like family and you are family also. The staff is phenomenal, extremely professional and treat you and your loved ones with so much…

If more than 5 stars were available, they would get them! They are appropriately named! They are very caring and they do take good care of your loved ones! I’m glad there are still places like this.
This place is just what the name says...A Caring Home With Friends. My husband has been here since 2023 and I am so blessed to have found such a loving, caring environment for him. I would recommend this residential care home to anyone wanting to find a place for a loved one who is no longer able to be taken care of at home. I love the owners and all the staff....they have become like family to me.
I highly recommend Cedar Village: A Caring Home with Friends! My parents spent their last months there and we were ALL treated like family. In fact, some of the workers say they treat the residents like their own grandmas and grandpas. We loved the one to three ratio of caregivers to residents---so much better than in other homes. They were always pleasant, attentive, and caring. Social workers who came to visit my parents said this is an "exceptional home--one of the two best in the entire region." The owners, Rani and Mina are very responsive to our communication and our concerns. We could call or text anytime and we got a quick reply. They also let us know when they saw something that was "off" with my parents. While creating a family atmosphere, they strictly followed professional protocol with meds and treatments and other details. If a problem arose, they were quick to listen to my parents and find a resolution. They looked out for the specific interests of the residents. When Mina learned that my dad loved to play the piano, she inquired and someone donated a keyboard for him to play. The activities director came everyday to try to engage the residents in fun activities. One of the caregivers escorted my mom to my dad's funeral making it possible for her to attend. Any time I wanted to talk with my parents or facetime with them, the home provided the phone or iPad and got us connected. Even from out of town, I had good daily contact and could "see" how they were doing. I surely miss that. We had everyone's personal cell numbers, not something you get in a big outfit. I wish we had found A Caring Home with Friends earlier. But at least I can encourage others to visit and see if this is the best home for their loved ones. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
A great assisted living residence with the warm, friendly feel of a home. The staff is experienced, knowledgeable and gives personalized care. My Dad was there for 3.5 years until his recent passing, and they seamlessly adapted to accommodate him as his needs changed over time.
Our mom was a resident here until her passing and she was treated with dignity and respect from the entire staff during her stay. IF they have space and you have a family member who needs this type of care, I highly recommend ACHWF without hesitation!
