3.7 · 6 reviews1 The listed phone number doesn't work. 2 the 2 person staff is overwhelmed, the place looks run down and in need of a lot of repairs 3 some of those pictures in the profile on Google are not from this place/house. 4 I don't think it can pass OSHA inspection, City of Houston inspection of any kind for public dwelling certification or fire Marshal inspection with out a lot of work to get certified.
Great care. The caregivers and home coordinator really care about the residents.
We chose Advanced Personal Care for our loved one because Carmelo (owner) really worked with us to make it happen, he truly cares about what he does. We feel at time he could use a little extra help but those were very rare cases. We visited 5 or 6 places and other places were above our budget but we feel like we made the right choice with Advanced. They provided our loved one with a separate area that he could call his. I do like him and the concept behind his homes. Not terribly impressed with the actual home. Although the home was clean, it was pretty basic. No shrubs or flowers in the back yard nor an inviting place to sit outside. I'm sure the residents are well cared for, but not the home for her. A big problem I see is that there is a mix among the residents - male and female.
1. Home was in excellent condition, clean, fresh paint and easy access. Backyard setup to enjoy. Space was adequate and comfortable given they target 5 residents.. 2. Residents appeared well cared for and happy Range of capabilities but overall higher functioning. One resident who had been bedridden upon arrival was now walking with a walker and some assistance. These folks work with the residents to improve their health! 3. Personnel competent and caring - the director was impressive and is very proud of her facility and the detailed tracking of her residents. 2 staff 24 hours a day for five residents. Next, great facility, very well run but two issues: 1. Location is to far from Carolyn. 2. I am concerned with the fact that since it is a single facility they have the a critical mass issue with staffing. If they loose one of their key employees they will be impacted more than a larger organization with multiple facilities who could more employees to adjust for shortage of skills.
Director is friendly..house is a little run down but the care providers seem to be enjoying their jobs.
