My grandmother has passed but every time I came to visit her all she could talk about was her CNA Sarah Carpenter and how much she loved her . It was funny my grandma would be so excited to tell me what they did while Sarah was on her shift . I miss her so much but I was really out as ease knowing that y’all had Sarah there on y’all’s staff to take care of my grandma. I wish every faculty had CNA’s like Sarah , she’s truly an angel sent down Thank you

Avir Nursing Home in Bowie Texas has been an important part of my life for well over ten years now . I had a stroke and had to recover there. The staff specifically Theresa and Becky in the activities department made sure I was involved from simple games to music to festivities to keep me focused and loved. My children would come and enjoy the days with me. This has continued and only gotten stronger as my mother has stage 4 dementia and only knows the workers there. She is well loved and taken care of from simple needs like holding a hand to engaging with dolls and fabrics to helping to eat…

Avir Nursing Home in Bowie Texas has been an important part of my life for well over ten years now . I had a stroke and had to recover there. The staff specifically Theresa and Becky in the activities department made sure I was involved from simple games to music to festivities to keep me focused and loved. My children would come and enjoy the days with me. This has continued and only gotten stronger as my mother has stage 4 dementia and only knows the workers there. She is well loved and taken care of from simple needs like holding a hand to engaging with dolls and fabrics to helping to eat now. I can't say enough good things about how well you are treated and taken care of. The activities department with Theresa and Becky come up with games activities trips music dress up birthdays and a local store. They welcome groups of people to come visit take care of the program and getting the residents to come and enjoy. The creativity is top notch they take requests. They focus on recovery and making the most of every day.

The nursing home in Bowie Tx, now known as Avir is a friendly and spectacular specialized facility!! The activity directors, Teresa and Becky are by far some of the best engaging people i’ve met! They’re extremely heedful to the residents and try their absolute hardest to ensure they are feeling seen and heard. They specifically focus on activities where EVERYONE can participate in some way. A favorite of the residents is Bingo😅. My nana is a resident at Avir, and struggles with dementia. The staff out there is amazing to her and will put her needs before theirs, just like they do with the rest of the residents! Overall, this facility is a very pleasing and sterling home. If you’re searching for a place for your loved one to go, id recommend this place any opportunity I get!

Highly recommend. My mother-in-law has been in here for three years and they take excellent care of her. She’s a handful, but I’ve never heard him say anything unkind about her or treat her unkind. The facility is very clean and doesn’t smell like a nursing home. You can tell they take pride in their environment. They always have tons of activities for the residence and for the families on holidays there’s usually a dinner. The staff is also constant and there’s not a huge amount of turnover or temporary employees like nursing homes closer to the DFW area. We’ve had her in three nursing homes between Bridgeport and Decatur previous to Advanced Rehab and Bowie. The other three nursing homes pale in comparison to how she is taking care of a Bowie Advanced Rehab. I also have friends whose mothers are in the memory care wing, and they are also satisfied with their moms’ care and recommend advanced rehab.
