Most of the people are very friendly. There is standing water in the carports after rain. There are barking dogs.
Our move to Amberlin ended up being a mistake. There is a plethora of 55+ communities. So do your due diligence and research the ones favorable to your needs. The positives were that is is a new facility and amenities were pleasant. Most patrons were positive and friendly. The negatives quickly unfolded after move-in. The complex is more like living in a dog kennel than apartments. We were awakened every morning by incessant barking, then periodically through the day. Residents on the first floor would let their dogs out in closet sized yards to deficate and exercise. Residents on the upper floors would let their dogs onto balconies to deficate and exercise . A faint feces/urine odor could be detected walking the complex. Walking the halls you could also hear barking. Both large, small and multiple dogs.
Great place to live a little expensive for there monthly rates however there like family here definitely recommend this place, they have alot of daily activities the only problem for me is they have them in mornings and lunch time don't get off until 5 pm get home around 6pm so I miss everything they do. What we like the most about Amberlin at The Station are the activities they have for the residents to participate in as well as the overall cleanliness of the community and the friendliness of the staff. We would absolutely 100% recommend this community to other families!!
We toured the Amberlin at The Station. It's a nice and beautiful apartment. It's very new. I think they've been there two years, or maybe not quite two years. I just saw one lady and she toured us around. She's nice. The rooms are big and have a big kitchen. They had a washer and dryer there. It's very roomy and has a nice patio. It's very clean.
My complaints would be that management doesn't follow through on complaints. And, the new grandchild swimming pool rules. For example -mon-fri/11-1pm only. No Sat. Sun, 1-5. The pool is not over used at any time so many grandparents who were promised open swimming are disappointed. Since I plan to live at the Amberlin for a while, i prefer my name not be published
New pool rules are grandchildren under the age of 18 are prohibited from using the pool Monday thru Friday from 8am to 11am and from 1pm to 10pm and all day Saturday. They are permitted to use the pool on Sunday from 8am until 5pm. No other 55 plus apartments in the area have grandchildren restrictions for use of the pool.
We don't have Dining here, but there is a Social every Wednesday night where they serve food, or we have a Potluck! Awesome place. I feel blessed to be here! I recommend Amberlin to everyone.
