Apex Oaks at Clear Lake in Houston, Texas. This memory-care community specializes in care for people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and related cognitive changes, offering 24-hour assistance, medication management and support with bathing, dressing and continence. The campus is arranged as smaller cottages—two buildings housing about 22 residents each—with private and companion suite options, many on the ground floor and wheelchair-accessible.
Daily life includes three chef-prepared meals served restaurant-style, housekeeping, laundry and utilities included in all‑inclusive pricing. A Montessori-inspired activities program runs seven days a week with options such as live music, gardening, arts and crafts, exercise classes and outings; the community also lists common spaces including living rooms, TV lounges, a theatre room, front porches and an outdoor patio. Wi-Fi and salon services are available through third‑party providers.

4.8 · 23 reviewsI have worked with this Community since the day they opened. I have referred residents there and the families have been very happy. The building is beautiful and is always immaculate. Their Montessori program is second to none and their activities are great, they even have an adult daycare now. I highly recommend Apex Oaks for your loved one.
We moved my mom to this facility several years back and we are so happy that we did. Our Mom is also happy. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They care about each person. They encourage each person to interact. They sing and assist with each person. There are several different buildings that the guests stay in. The facility is exceptional in quality and upkeep. Mo is 97 and we have seen her interact more due to being there.

Our father was having difficulty at a large Memory Care facility, so we felt that he needed something smaller with a better fit for him. We were led to Apex Oaks at Clear Lake which is closer to my sister. I can honestly say that Apex Oaks has been a miracle for our family. Their staff to resident ratio is more inline with our expectations, and the Montessori approach is exactly what our father needed. The staff encourage residents to attend all functions so our father is making crafts, baking bread, dancing, and trying new things. We are extremely happy and genuinely appreciate the professional staff and atmosphere.
Horrible Place!! The woman overseeing the medication is incompetent and can’t read a doctors orders. She has almost killed my mom. Then lied about increasing my moms medication instead of decreasing it like was the doctors orders. Said she only gave 2 pills Oct 3 and 4 when you can clearly count she was given 4 each day then instead of tapering off the respadone like the Dr ordered she just stopped it cold turkey. If there were a 0 they would have it
This placing is amazing! It’s a nice clean environment and the ladies that work here are great especially Stephanie I believe she is the one who does the activities with the residents and she is just hands-down the best! She always has something fun planned!
The price - value is great. Initially my daughters and I would constantly look at videos taken by the camera in [name removed] room but that has tapered off to almost no viewing because we never once have heard or seen any abuse taking place. The aides respond pretty quickly to requests. There are times when they can be a short handed when aides call in for some reason. Everyplace must deal with that issue. At Apex front office staff will pitch in to help. Everyone at Apex really cares about the residents, who are actually more like family.
This was my dads third Memory Care facility and the staff at Apex Oaks was hands down the best. They not only helped me get him moved in but when the time came for hospice care they recommended a great team. Unfortunately dad didn't last long, but they were wonderful helping me get through that tough time.
