My aunt was here and they are horrible. They called adult services because we brought her home. They didn’t care for her here. They were neglectful and also she got out the facility and they didn’t notice. Which is supposed to be a locked facility. She fell and busted her head and broke her hip. If you truly love your loved ones. Get them out! Do not use this facility. Also get a lawyer if you have your loved ones here.
I can’t express how grateful I am for the care my grandpa is getting at this rehabilitation center. He’s truly happy here, and that means the world to our family. The staff treat him with such love, respect, and genuine kindness—something we didn’t always see at the previous facility he was in. The nurses are absolutely wonderful, and Ms. Lucy deserves special mention. She’s one of the sweetest, most caring people you could ever meet. She listens, understands, and treats everyone like family. Knowing my grandpa is in such good hands brings me so much peace and comfort.
As these reviews below seem to be old I have had nothing but good experiences here . They are attentive , caring and supportive. Every request I have had for my mother it has gotten solved and straightened out . She has been to another place and never received the care that she gets here . Thanks guys!
Bad place to put a parent, or other loved one.
I'm homeless and was just tryna get some sleep in a shaded area and these people go and call the police on me. I wasn't bothering anyone but because I'm homeless in my car they have an issue
This is the worst nursing home/"rehab" ever. Most of the staff are unprofessional and lazy. It is run down and nasty. DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONE END UP HERE.
Do your research before sending your loved one here to Alamo Heights. My grandmother was sent for skilled nursing rehab here and due to a shortage of beds they just dumped her into the nursing home/long term side. No phone in the room, no TV, no AC. No one came to check on her unless I asked. The place needs major upgrades, residents are going into other residents rooms and taking their belongings and the staff know this but still do not keep tabs on what's going on. The weekend staff have no idea what protocols to follow when situations happen and I couldn't get administration to call ne back or help me over the weekend. My grandma's ID and everything was stolen w/in 30 mins of me walking out of her room and coming back and only 1 CNA attempted to help me search. My suggestion find somewhere else.
