My mother spent her last year of life at Claire Bridge Brookdale Champions. Jessica, the Program Director and her staff kept the residents active with music and games. Mom made friends with other residents and staff. Jessica really enjoys her work and it shows in the care of the residents. The Brookdale Champions staff made my mom's life comfortable and made her feel cared for. I'm so glad we were able to find such a wonderful home for our mother.
Loving caring staff. However they lie to get you to bring your loved one there. We were very upfront about behavior issues when seeking memory care for my loved one. They said his prescribed meds were not allowed there but no worries, they had lots of other ways to handle the behaviors. They took our community fee, we moved him in and they discontinued his meds. As the meds wore off from his system, the behaviors emerged. Brookdale sent him to a psych hospital then informed us he couldn’t return. I was told the hospital and transport wouldn’t cost anything out of pocket but it cost thousands.…

As the meds wore off from his system, the behaviors emerged. Brookdale sent him to a psych hospital then informed us he couldn’t return. I was told the hospital and transport wouldn’t cost anything out of pocket but it cost thousands. We did not get our community fee back (he was there less than a month and only there at all because they lied). We received a partial refund for the days remaining in the month, but they shorted us about $500 of that. Their lies created more disruption for a person with dementia who needs as much stability as possible. Not to mention added stress and financial hardship for the family. If your loved one has no issues, it’s a great place. But the policies created a problem and then they took zero responsibility for that. Be careful. Update: three weeks ago Brookdale commented on this review to say they would look into this. I have heard nothing which is no surprise because before writing this review I wrote directly to them. They didn’t respond to my letter either.
I am so impressed with the positive changes and consistent level of care at Brookdale Champions Assisted Living and Memory Care. The community continues to improve, which is a fantastic sign. The staff truly makes the difference. Tyshell, the nurse, is an amazing communicator and incredibly caring. Her professionalism is truly appreciated. Ashley is also a shining star and a true 'ray of sunshine' to the residents and families. With this amazing and dedicated team in place, I would absolutely recommend Brookdale Champions for the care of my own family members. A huge thank you to the whole…

We moved in about 2 months ago and the entire staff has been amazing and friendly!! They have excellent home cooked meals and lots of fun activities !! Definitely glad we made this move.
We toured dozens of place. Looking for Assisted Living with memory care for future. First, the tour and experience was exceptional informative and let us meet with staff and residents to get honest feedback. Priceless. Activities and investment is spectacular-positive in there to get involved. Parents love it! Nursing staff is exceptional! Ever the maintenance has been spot on and positive- great attitude. I only have positive things to say!
What we like the most about Brookdale Champions is how professional and caring the staff are. It also has a family like atmosphere. I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.
Brookdale Champions is a loving and unique facility. We found it when looking for a place for my mom and my sister over a decade ago, and God led me to the right place. We had researched and visited over a dozen places, but when I walked in the front door, I actually felt that this was going to be their home. Staff and residents are like one big family. A number of the caregivers have been there since before we came. The facility is always clean, and the staff goes above and beyond in every way to support residents and their families. The nursing staff has been stellar and works with me as one team. The activity coordinators always have a variety of fun and interesting options to consider each day. I truly love the people who work there and so many of the sweet residents. This place is a gem! And did I mention, the food is great!
Love the caregivers & staff here. What makes this place a good fit for my mom are the caregivers who treat her so kindly. I know everyday she’s taken care of with love &patience. They hold her hand, hug her, & even dance with her. They make her laugh & talk with her about her interests. Knowing mom gets physical & emotional care & is helped by people all day with basic life skills is important to me. The staff really bond with their residents. Mom gets her regular hygiene, meals, meds & activities and is checked on regularly if she chooses to rest in her room. I think any facility will have glitches as no place is perfect. However, what I feel is important is corrective action when problems arise. We’ve had a couple glitches over our 14 mos here, yet I always feel like my concerns are heard, addressed, and corrected. They definitely take an interest in our whole family & really want to do what is best for my mom & all residents. Several staff members go over & above.
