Staff was rude to me when I was dropping off a package
🙏
My mom lived at Brookdale Cypress Station for almost 3 years. She had advanced dementia, and was often defiant and combative. She was treated with kindness, respect and love. She was given as much independence as she could have and was genuinely cared for in those last years of her life. They took her on outings when she had good days and was in a community walking club. She did have a hospital stay while she lived there, and they kept in contact with me the whole time. There was always music playing and the staff had the best attitudes. It was so nice to know that she wasn’t in a toxic work…

She did have a hospital stay while she lived there, and they kept in contact with me the whole time. There was always music playing and the staff had the best attitudes. It was so nice to know that she wasn’t in a toxic work environment. Watching the end of a loved one’s life is emotionally exhausting. Brookdale met me and my brother with compassion and sympathy each time we visited. I cannot recommend them enough.
While this facility is a bit older than the others we have toured or used in the past, it was still very quaint and convenient considering its location. We felt my mother would get better attention during her declining years in memory care. We did not feel overwhelmed or concerned about her care here. Very happy with the choice we made.
What we like the most about Brookdale Cypress Station is the friendliness, but would like to see some improvement on the responding time of the request. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.
Honestly, I think 5 for all. I think the facility needs a make over but everything is going great. The last couple of months the staff has found my father in a common area(not laid out on the floor) but in need of assistance. Twice they have called me...once prior too 911 only because he was refusing, the second time after 911 to let me know what happened. Both times I acknowledged their concerns and voiced my appreciation. Loved ones are cared for here.
Overall its good. Obviously, its a difficult place to operate, but they do as good as i would expected. Cleanliness could be a tad better, and frequent turnover can lead to delays in wake up times and getting my dad ready in time for things, but overall he seems happy with the facility.
After touring a few places, it was an easy choice to have my father live in Brookdale Cypress Station. They have all of the support he needs, good food, wonderful staff and kind residents. I could not be happier that my father is getting the attention he needs from everyone there. He has a very comfortable apartment equipped to meet his needs. Brookdale Cypress Station’s staff—the director, the sales representative, the receptionists, nurses, chefs, and everyone in between— share their passion, caring, and understanding of each resident’s needs each day as they help build a community-like atmosphere. They love their jobs, and I’m sure it is why most of the staff has been there for a while. Moving a cherished family member to assisted living is not easy, but they made the experience so much better. I can’t recommend this senior care living community enough!
