Went to do a tour of the facility 9/6/25 with family and my mom (the client) and just walking to the entrance we did not have a good feeling about the facility. Front porch entrance decor was thrown on ground and pillows all over. Ac and windows were old and rusted. The intercom was "on" from the outside and we could hear loud static, banging and talking coming from inside the building. We rang the doorbell 4x and no answer. We had to knock loudly 3x and then a frazzled young woman came to the door finally. We sat and discussed our main top requirements and she was the new sales manager.. of…

Went to do a tour of the facility 9/6/25 with family and my mom (the client) and just walking to the entrance we did not have a good feeling about the facility. We sat and discussed our main top requirements and she was the new sales manager.. of Both North and South facilities. She did not have much info at all. Kept saying "Im not sure of that but I can ask someone" (Is she the one to ask?!? :/ ) Other workers interrupted her during our meeting also not knowing where things were. The staff all seems to do 2 or 3 different jobs which is not a good look. Transportation and outings for residents are only 1 day a week and ONLY if someone is available to drive. ?!? For $4500 a month, the amenities are verryy bad in our opinion compared to other Denton facilities and we will keep searching for better well managed, friendly and clean facility. We felt uncomfortable and didn't even take the tour and left. Visit at your own risk. Would Not recommend.
I just submitted a letter to the Vatican in hopes of opening a letter of inquiry considering opening a process of beatification for Kathy Hamilton, the director of Brookdale north and south. Her support and managerial skill is one reason I sleep better at night. My sister in law is a resident and I am her power of attorney. Kathy supports and helps me with her care. Get out your rosaries!

Pills were found on the residents floor. Shower, carpet and kitchen area was filthy. Original hangers for clothing have been replaced with cheap plastic ones. Staff lost several pairs of expensive incontinence underwear. These issues have been addressed to the manager with no results seen. Constant problems. Would not recommend anyone to leave their loved one there.
My loved one is in this facility. Apartment is always filthy, meds are not given at all or not on time, and the staff forgets to get my family member for meals. This has been addressed to upper management with no improvement seen.
I toured this building for my Grandma. [name removed] the sales person was very informative and helpful during our tour at this community. Residents seemed engaged and well cared for. The courtyard was beautiful with all the new flowers and a few residents were enjoying the sunshine.
The Staff at Denton North was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The community is in the shape of a square so it is small and easy to maneuver around. It seemed like it was a family atmosphere and true friendships were being formed with the residents.
