Brookdale Kingsley memory care unit was simply amazing with our 100 year old father. On his 100th birthday they actually put on a huge celebration and we were all so touched. Patty and her caregiving staff treated all of our family with kindness and compassion every single day. He even fell in love with the facility and staff even though he very much did not want to give up his independence. He did not just survive but actually thrived. We could not be more pleased. These people are angels on Earth❤️
The corporation needs to pays its front line patient care workers better . The turnover is ridiculous. They, at corporate, need to have better meals that have a healthier diet. The people in the facility are very nice.
My mother moved to Brookdale Kingsley in February of 2024. I had noticed that she was having aging issues and really needed assistance and to be around other people. She did very well for 6 months and loved playing bingo and going out on excursions each week. Meal times were lively and she enjoyed talking with new friends. Within 6 months, she had some health issues and started a slow cognItive decline. The staff was very aware and watched her more closely and kept me well-informed. By December, it was time for her to go to Memory Care. Every step of the way, the staff was helpful and…

Within 6 months, she had some health issues and started a slow cognItive decline. The staff was very aware and watched her more closely and kept me well-informed. By December, it was time for her to go to Memory Care. Every step of the way, the staff was helpful and encouraging and willing to just listen as the transition can be difficult for family members. The staff kept me informed about how she was doing in her new area(it was a great thing for her!). Kingsley feels like family!! I live 4 hours away but they call me if there’s an issue and I feel comfortable calling and checking in at anytime. Everyone has been so kind.
Thank you Rikki for making my grandmother feel special and at home. The moment we walked into Kingsley we were greeted by Lou who is amazingly bubbly. Took a tour with Rikki who introduced us to Patty in Memory Care who is a Godsend. Connie was very thorough with financials and extremely knowledgeable in what she does. Couldn’t have found a better place for my grandmother. I would definitely recommend this community to everyone.
Very responsive and helpful! From the time we contacted Robin, she answered all of our questions and provided a walk through of the facility via FaceTime. She understood our urgency of finding a place for mom and jumped through hoops getting her a room in a matter of days. Rikki Brown has found her calling as the Executive Director of the facility. She fosters a team of caring, respectful and knowledgeable personnel. We are out of state, and the entire team at Brookdale Kingsley has been very responsive and usually gets back to us immediately or within an hour or two. Our mom has adjusted well and is always raving about how nice everyone is. The facility is very clean and well maintained. They offer activities daily and encourage involvement. They truly go the extra mile of providing a warm home setting. Rikki, Faith, Lynn, Lou and Katie are amazing! Thank you!
I visited Brookdale Medical Center Kingsley. The rooms are bigger and will be more comfortable than where we're at currently. It is very clean, a little brighter, and a little larger. I had lunch there and I liked the way they handled the meal. I don't know if the food will be any better, but their approach to it, I thought was good. They have several areas besides the dining room, which is very nice. They also have a table set over to the side. If our family wanted to come together for a meal, we could use that. They have sitting areas with comfortable-looking furniture, enough for a few people to gather. I haven't been through all of the halls, but I understand there are three main halls. One goes through the middle, and the dining room is located in that hall. The place looks very comfortable and bright. They provide transportation to medical appointments. They also had outings to go to H.E.B. and Walmart on alternate weeks and to go out for lunch once a week. The business manager has been very nice and extremely helpful, and the others that I have met along the way, the director and so forth, were all very, very pleasant and personable. I don't see anything inadequate.
5 all across the board. My Step Father was at Brookdale and he was kind of a grump. The staff there did everything we ( his daughters) asked of them even when our Dad was being stubborn and agitated. I'm believe it's worth the price to ensure your loved ones are well cared for.
I would rate them all a 5. We have been very pleased with Kingsley. The staff, administrative on down, are always friendly and d professional. My mother has done well there, compliments the food and staff a lot. The facility is always clean, quiet and well run whenever we drop by. I notice there are lots of activities available. She has not been able to participate much, but they are available.
