4.3 · 62 reviewsBrookdale Monterey has been the perfect location for my mother. The facility allows independence while providing a safe and secure environment. The staff is very loving and caring to all of the residents. The Activity Director does an excellent job of keeping the residents engaged and happy. Overall, I would highly recommend Brookdale Monterey for memory care residents.
Brookdale Monterey, hires some extremely caring personnel. My mother has been enrolled for almost 3urs now. Without this facility availability, my mother would have a very different life. This is a memory care facility for elderly unable to remain at home. My mother had no daily activities to speak of when living by herself. Brookdale has daily activities, family interaction, holidays, birthdays, and so much more. Cannot say enough about the activities here. The conscientious staff, always keeps me informed. God Bless them all!
My father recently moved into a memory care home to address his changing needs. As difficult of a decision this was, I have found Brookdale Monterey to be a blessing in the loving care and kindness given to my father. Danielle and Deirdre operate a home away from home with dedication, patience and loving compassion. There are daily activities, always coffee, laughter, sharing of memories, outings, and the feel of community & family. The staff are amazing - I can tell that they truly care for my father’s well being. Being over 300 miles away from my father is difficult, however I feel at ease…

Danielle and Deirdre operate a home away from home with dedication, patience and loving compassion. There are daily activities, always coffee, laughter, sharing of memories, outings, and the feel of community & family. The staff are amazing - I can tell that they truly care for my father’s well being. Being over 300 miles away from my father is difficult, however I feel at ease knowing my father is in the absolute best hands! Thank you for all you do every day!

The entire team at Brookdale is like family and treats my dad as such. They very clearly care about each resident and are extremely loving, patient and respectful to each resident. So caring and treat each person with utmost dignity. Very thankful for Brookdale.
This is assisted living technically, but with a memory care license, so it's been perfect for our 91 year old father. He enjoys having his own belongings/furniture in his room. Also, he enjoys meals with his new buddies. The nurses are very caring. I think Dad has "won them over"😁
The rooms are ample size with 2 closets and the bathroom has a separate shower with plenty of grab bars. However, there is no housekeeping department. My mother’s room hasn’t been cleaned in the 6 months she’s been there. I’ve had to request her bathroom be cleaned on multiple occasions and they do not keep toilet paper or paper towels stocked. I’ve had to request toilet paper multiple times. She is not encouraged to engage in activities and she is left to sleep all day with the majority of meals brought to her room. She has had missing clothes and photos from her room. I would not recommend this facility.
Brookdale Monterey is a great place to work with. They are very supportive of all you do.
Respectful, caring, involved staff facility is clean, well managed. Staff stay on top of pt care.
