Capstone Healthcare Estates at Veterans Memorial

Everyone at this facility is so nice and attentive to the needs of every individual. The staff are so warm and friendly. Therapy dis a great job to get me to be able to go home and I'm grateful to them I recommend this facility to anyone that needs a rehab center!

I would not recommend this facility. My grandmother was transferred here directly from the hospital, and the transition was handled dangerously poorly. When she arrived, the facility did not have her medical records or pain medication orders, which the hospital later confirmed had not been properly sent. As a result, my grandmother was left in uncontrolled pain, crying and distressed, while staff repeatedly told us they were “still processing” her information. Hours passed without adequate pain management. In addition to the lack of medical readiness, the environment was unsanitary and depressing, and basic cleanliness was clearly not being maintained. I personally had to clean a soiled toilet myself while staff delayed care. Due to unmanaged pain and unsafe conditions, we were forced to call 911 and have her transported back to the emergency room the same day. The ER documented this as a failed discharge and treated her pain immediately. No patient — especially an elderly one — should be admitted to a facility that is not prepared to manage their care. This experience was frightening, exhausting, and entirely avoidable. Families deserve better communication, cleanliness, and basic compassion during vulnerable moments like these.

THEY NEGLECT AND ABUSE THE HELPLESS ELDERLY RESIDENTS. LEAVE THEM SOAKED IN URINE AND FECES WHICH CAUSED BEDSORES. THEY OVERMEDICATE, MIX UP RESIDENTS MEDS, ARE ROUGH WITH RESIDENTS, IGNORE CALL LIGHTS, DON'T TURN BEDRIDDEN PATIENTS AND DON'T FEED THEM. THIS IS A SHORT LIST... SO MANY INHUMANE THINGS WERE DONE TO MY LO! DUE TO NEGLECT SHE LOST EVERYTHING HERE; HER VISION, HAD A STROKE AND HEART ATTACK IN 2024. SHE'S BACK HOME AND TOTAL CARE! THEY'RE PAID AROUND $6,000 A MONTH PER RESIDENT BUT PAY STAFF BARE MINIMUM. THEY'RE SHORT STAFFED AND THE CNAs HAVE TOO MANY PEOPLE TO GIVE PROPER CARE THEY CHANGE THE NAME FREQUENTLY TO AVOID ACCOUNTABILITY AND DECEIVE PEOPLE! FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME FOR MORE DETAILS.
