One of the best facilities I’ve been to the residents are cared for very well and the staff are some of the nicest I’ve met
My Grandfather was in there for about a month and the service was horrible. The food was not edible, it took an hour for him to get his medications, the bedside manner was horrible and all around a terrible stay!! We do not recommend this place at all!!!
Staff is nice and facility clean. BE VERY CAREFUL with Lesa (Business Office Manager) She's super aggressive when it comes to billing questions or concerns. They try to convince your loved one right away to apply for medicaid, so they can get paid. She has zero concern about your loved one and her heart is cold as ice!! They also start trying to lay ground work for declaring your loved one incompetent of handling their finances by saying theyre showing signs of dementia. My advice..CONSULT WITH AN ELDER LAWYER!!
My mother is there as a resident . Thank you staff for taking care of her.
I just wanted to say that I was very happy to know my loved one is in a facility where people are so kind and truly want to help in any kind of way. I was impressed with the way the housekeeper was so hardworking and helpful. Dana, who is always willing to help anytime I've ever needed, is a delight. I want to make it clear I have been won over by the housekeeping and hardwork. Keep it up.
My mother-in-law was in Cedar Lake Nursing Home. They were awesome. I loved them. It was family owned. I have nothing bad to say. They were excellent, superiorm in every way, because I was up there almost every single day that she was there. It was a big challenge during COVID; it wasn't their fault. It was older, but it was extremely well kept up. It looked aged inside, but everything looked perfect. The staff were attentive. The social workers were attentive. She got her hair done every couple of weeks. They had a beautician there. They had games. They had activities. She wasn't able to go out on any of the excursions they had, but that was OK. And it was so pleasant. Very pleasant. It did not smell like a nursing home when you got there in the mornings. Always clean. Always extremely clean. She never complained about the food.
My husband was put into CLNH because of Lewybody dementia in February, 2022. He was later fitted w a leg monitor for security purposes. The first part of May he walked out the NH back door. There was no NH personnel on his hall at the time of the incident and the hall Nurse was sitting at her desk and said she was hard hearing and did not hear the alarms go off. I was asked that he be removed from the facility immediately to a secure unit because of a security risk. I had no place to put him at that moment so I had to spend the night at NH, to monitor him, so we could find another facility the next day. We were blessed finding a NH that is very accommodating and the facility is like a hotel. He is in a regular room, not a security unit, and the NH said he was not a risk, and he is happy with the move. The DON and management at CLNH were rude almost to a harassment stage. They took NO responsibility for their failure of not monitoring him. They BLAMED HIM. They have/had a couple of nurses and aides that are/were very professional and do their jobs like they should. They don't stand around talking on their phones or gossiping like I've seen some do. I'm very disappointed that the level of care has declined since the first time he was put there for therapy approximately a year prior. I give them three stars ONLY because of their Therapy department and they have a great food menu for patients. The best food I've eaten in a nursing home.
.I'm part time landscaper every single time I have ever gone in nursing home the employees welcomed me with open arms. I have never been in a nursing home that didn't have that old smell cedar lake doesn't ever. I have thought to myself. how did they do that? They also have great food they have cheifs cooking and on stand by to cook.
