The processes and changes involved with moving out of traditional, at home living into a retirement style community are emotionally and mentally taxing, but every single staff member at Chateau McKinney bent over backwards to walk us through each step, they are ALWAYS there to assist in any way possible and it is abundantly evident that they love their residents, the families and that every decision made is for the good of the residents. We looked at many places for my Dad and Chateau was hands down the winner. They are not inexpensive, but they provide a wealth of activities, all food, housekeeping, transport and nice amenities in the rental fee and that number is all inclusive for those items. Having the option to bring medical in as needed (through insurance) is another huge plus. We've just been so pleased with the attention to detail and more importantly, to our Dad, while he makes this transition. Thank you to every single person who works at Chateau McKinney for all you do for your residents and their families.
My experience living at The Château in McKinney Texas has been very good. The activities give a lot of variety to the residences. The grounds are well kept. There is a swimming pool and hot tub. There are also many extras at The Château: a weekly hair salon, a weekly nail salon, 3 meals per day, housekeeping services, washer/dryer hook ups, laundry rooms, covered parking, garages, storage rooms, complementary transportation for shopping and/or doctor visits, exercise room, entertainment and lots of activities. My experience living at The Château in McKinney Texas has been very good. The activities give a lot of variety to the residences. The grounds are well kept. There is a swimming pool and hot tub. There are also many extras at The Château: a weekly hair salon, a weekly nail salon, 3 meals per day, housekeeping services, washer/dryer hook ups, laundry rooms, covered parking, garages, storage rooms, complementary transportation for shopping and/or doctor visits, exercise room, entertainment and lots of activities. There are also independent companies that provide services here at The Château: Home Health assistants, Therapy, Doctors, etc. It was been an excellent choice to move to The Château. I would recommend The Château as a good place for single or married seniors to live.
This is a great place for us because we're provided with many interesting activities developed by our activity director, Brenda. Very often she encourages residents to join in on activities and bus outings. Marilyn, the front desk receptionist, is also very helpful and like Brenda will go the extra mile to assist any of us in need. Kayla and Clinton are managers and although we don't see much of them, they listen to us and that helps in making the Chateau feel like home.

We came here to be near family. It’s an excellent solution for retirees who want to be near family and have trouble making it on their own. The people, both residents and staff, are friendly and supportive. There is transportation, activities to keep you active, and meals to relieve the burden of cooking. We’re not only near our family but have gained a new family in the process.
I have been living here for 9 months. Staff are very attentive to customer service. I am older and wiser and totally understand that nothing is 100% perfect. There are many activities and many nice friendly people living here. We have a bus that will take us to various appointments and that is very convenient. The Chateau is also located in an area I am familiar with. That’s a plus! The kitchen staff snd servers are very kind and polite! The food is very good and buried and it may not be to my liking every single time breakfast lunch and dinner however, I am served everybody’s kind and there’s a variety of different food. I don’t think I could ask for anything more.
I just love the Chateau. From the moment I walked in I knew this was going to be my home. There’s so many things to do. You could never be bored their games every day and night swimming exercise class which goes very easy on you. I’ve lived here for six years and I hope I live here a lot more than that. The staff is wonderful. They’ll just do anything for you. The kitchen staff is very same way. They’ll help you in any way at luncheon at dinner and I’m sure at breakfast if I went .I just say I’m so proud to live at the Château..
I am happy to announce this home is exactly what it is. Those that come to live here are met with excellent staff! Clean facility, excellent daily activities of living, and most importantly they trust those that are there to be of assistance whenever needed. I highly recommend Chat au Mckinney.
