I hate to leave a negative review, but I feel management needs to be aware of a concerning experience I recently had with Cottonwood Transportation. Unfortunately, I did not catch the female driver’s name, but the experience was concerning enough that I felt it needed to be reported. The driver was highly unprofessional, and more importantly, I felt unsafe during the trip. The driving was erratic enough that I found myself holding on to my seat and belongings throughout the ride. What should have been a routine transportation service became a very uncomfortable and stressful experience. I had heard that improvements were being made to the transportation program, which gave me hope. Unfortunately, this experience has had the opposite effect and has made me hesitant to use the service again. I am sharing this feedback because I believe management should be aware of the situation and take the necessary steps to ensure the safety and comfort of residents and passengers. Safety should always be the top priority.
Their drivers need to be more aware of their surroundings. They shouldn’t have pulled out in front of me. There wasn’t time for them to do so and I almost rear ended them. They could have just waited since there were NO cars behind me! They then kept breaking for no reason. Maybe don’t drive irresponsibly with the business name on it.
Cottonwood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Denton, Texas, has had several violations, including issues with infection control, quality of life, and pharmacy services. Specific findings include failure to prevent the spread of infection and provide appropriate pressure ulcer care. The facility has also faced penalties and received low staffing ratings, with a history of
Is very compassionate and love the team member and staff, mostly the residents there.
My experience here has been Amazing!! The staff here have the most compassionate care that I’ve seen.
The lady that gave me a tour of Cottonwood Nursing and Rehabilitation was wonderful. Her name was Mary and she was nice, but the vibe wasn't that great. The facility was dark and depressing as far as I'm concerned. Overall we elected to not go there, because of that. They don't have transportation. I met other staff going through there, and they were OK. The dining area was also OK. It was clean.
What a sweetheart facility. A wonderful team that truly cares. I am so impressed. Some of the staff have worked here over 10 years.
My wife completed an extended stay at Texas Health Presbyterian Denton during December 2022-January 2023. While in the hospital short-term rehab was recommended prior to her discharge. Cottonwood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Denton was able to accept her. She was transferred from THP Denton to Cottonwood. During her time there (about thirty days) I was able to visit her on several occasions while taking the opportunity to meet with the staff and observe the care given to their residents including my wife. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the care and compassion she received during her stay. My wife enjoyed her interaction with staff, the meals, and physical therapy sessions. I spoke with several of the care givers including On-Site Social Worker (Jennifer), Administrator (Kenneth), and Director of Rehab (Haley). The improvement I observed in my wife was awesome. She regained strength and mobility. During her stay with staff supervision she was able to stop taking a very strong prescribed painkiller which she had been taking for several years. Just one of the unexpected blessings we received at Cottonwood. We highly recommend the facility and staff. Thank you Cottonwood! Five stars!
