My dad was 98 years old and the staff said they took him to the bathroon and he tried to get up on his own and fell. He was so badly briused on his hip and both arms and a wound to his head. They said he was fine. after 4 days they decided that he did need to go to the hospital. He died 5 days later. I believe he would still be here if this place was actually doing their jobs. It took an act of congress to get anyone to help when called. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU PLAN TO STAY WITH YOUR LOVED ONE 24/7.
My husband stayed at Crown Point Health Suites. They were all individual rooms, and they were large. Each one had a wheelchair accessible shower. The staff care was excellent. There was a big community room where they showed movies and played games and stuff like that. There were several wings, and each wing had their own dining room and their own kitchen. The food was fabulous. Interaction with the staff was fabulous. My husband was one of those cheerful, chitchat, tease kind of people. The staff really enjoyed him as much as he enjoyed them. There was physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. He was in declining health, and his strength was declining, and after so many days therapy was not needed or appropriate, because he was declining instead of progressing. There were a few little glitches in the room and maintenance was there within an hour. The facility was really clean. I got to know some of the long-term residents a little bit, and they seemed very happy there. The director was really good, but the residents did not come to the activities very much. The movie afternoon was well attended and they had things on the calendar almost every day. It's kind of expensive, but the care was really good.
My sister is in Crown Point Health Suites. I like the security they provide. The nursing staff seems to be very nice. It's always looked clean every time I've been down there, and it's a nice facility. I like the way they have it laid out. It's easy for her. Right now, she's in there for rehab and how to teach her to live independently. She's an amputee, so they help her with wound care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and pain management. They have bingo, and she talks about that a lot. They have Skip-Bo, cards, and games. I haven't tried the food myself, but she seems to like it. I…

It's beautiful on the outside and the inside. I'm never there when they're doing activities, but according to her, they're a lot of fun. When she feels up to it, she loves to go and participate. She's comfortable there and she seems to like it there.
I was a resident of this facility and the care couldn't have been better. I was there after heart surgery. The food was great but I couldn't eat much at that time. Staff were great and really cared.
My husband was a resident for a month for respite care. I was a resident for 2 weeks for therapy services. No place is perfect, what sets this place above the rest of facilities is the willingness of the staff to listen and make the effort to make the situation the best it can be. The food, CNAs, nurses, housekeeping and maintenance staff were excellent. My husband is having shoulder surgery so we will be going back for therapy services for him. The rooms were clean and easy to move about. Activities brought donuts by once a week at our request. Staff came by each day to learn our food choices.
Hello! My husband was in this place and I am sorely disappointed. I understood that visiters are not allowed due to COVID-19, but when trying to get a member of management or the charge nurse on the phone, it was near impossible. I could barely find a real person to speak to to get an update on my husband's condition. I had so much anxiety about him. I asked several times for someone to assist him in doing the facetime thing and was told they are too busy or that that isn't their job. I just wanted to see my husband! When talking to him on the phone, he said that his call light was taking forever to get answered and that the staff was rude and uncaring. No one took our concerns seriosly in management or the nursing staff. But when I was called that he had to get out in 48 hours or he was kicked out, boy, was it easy to reach someone then. I wasn't ready to bring him home and asked Mona for another few days to either have my daughter come into town or till his MD appointment the following week that he was going to have his weight bearing status increased. She told me, no, that was policy and to figure out a plan. I could not believe it. I had to have my daughter from Colorado come in and help with his transfer home and to provide care for him as he was still not able to bear weight at his time of discharge. There was no way that I could transfer him in my elderly state and there was no alternatives or other options offered to me by Mona or the management/nursing staff. Be careful where you choose. Looks aren't everything and I should have known that by my age. WOULD NOT GO BACK!
I was a short term resident here and when i arrived, I thought it was the pick of Lubbock. My opinion changed very fast! The night staff was rude and took forever to answer my call light, forcing me to get up without the help that I needed and I fell. I didn't break anything, but it hurt so bad. When I asked to speak to the person in the charge, the director came to see me and told me that I should have waited longer in bed for someone to come, that the staffing ratio was correct and that my call light wasn't on for very long. I was about to pee the bed! The fall was blamed on me. I have never felt so embarrassed and disregarded as he made me feel. I was hoping this was a one time occurance with the call lights, but it wasn't. It happened nights and weekends. Without the adminstartion in place, the building turns into a mad house. Pretty sad for what could have been a wonderful experience. I will not be returning here again if I get sick and would not advise any friends/family to stay here either. Kyle is one of the rudest and poorest example of upper management I have ever seen. It starts from the top and the entire vibe of this building reflects that. Thank you for your time.
My father was a skilled resident here. He was not stable at the time of DC. I asked them to extend the stay and Mona, the social worker, was so rude to me and told me that I had 48 hours to get my father out. I explained that I did not have a place to take him to with the COVID crisis and could not care for him at home. She stated that that is not their problem and that I needed to figure out my plan. I contacted the DON and was spoke to just as harshly. I would never take a loved one back here and be prepared with a DC plan if you choose this place. Don't be fooled by the outside. It may be beautiful, but it is ugly on the inside with the people that work there. Very heartless!
