Resident & family reviews
4.3 · 38 reviewsI am very grateful for the care my mother receives here at Cypress Assisted Living. The staff is warm, compassionate, and truly caring, which gives our family great peace of mind. The atmosphere is welcoming, intimate and supportive, and my mom is treated with dignity and respect. A special shout-out to the dining staff—the meals are nutritional, well prepared and something my mom genuinely enjoys. I trust she is safe and well cared for, and I would highly recommend this community.
Cypress assisted living has been just what my Mother has needed during this stage in her life. Her caregivers are super friendly and caring. The place is very clean and all the residents are kept clean. Their food menu is outstanding. The Nurse is very attentive and responds in a timely manner to any questions we may have. They really care about the residents. The only improvement I would suggest is to have some form of entertainment come to visit the residence occasionally.
The staff here truly treat residents like family caring, respectful, and attentive. The community is clean, welcoming, and full of engaging activities. Meals are excellent, and the personalized care gives us real peace of mind. Highly recommend! The most important part is that Nelly was able to give us the help we needed and our stay in this facility has been nothing but exemplary service, and extraordinaire !! They answered all our questions, gave us the support and above all we it’s more than our home thank you so much for accommodating our mother and we grateful

Cypress assisted living was a blessing for me and my stepmom at a time when we lost my Dad, whom was her caregiver! The owners and all staff have been caring, sympathetic and kind! I am very thankful for them!
Nellie is amazing. She's very responsive and will make you feel comfortable having your loved one at one of her homes. The caregivers make you feel like family when you come to visit. They are very kind to my mom. Homecooked meals everyday are a plus. Everything is very clean. I definitely recommend CAL.
Excellent staff and facility!
Nellie and Denis run the best buildings and programs in Cypress. Their care teams are unmatched; in work ethic, heart, attentiveness and overall commitment to excellent care. It has been a pleasure to work along side these teams and see their magic in action. If you or your loved one find yourself in need of extra help, care or love look no further! You won’t find better care or owners than at Cypress Assisted Livings!
Honestly if I could give 0 starts I would. My mom was stuck in the hospital before Memorial Day, we needed to find a hospice home quick so she wouldn’t be stuck over the long weekend. I looked at some of the reviews and pulled the trigger. I had a meeting with ‘Nellie’ that was the last time I really heard from her. We had many issues throughout our week and a half of my mom staying there. It is documented through the hospice company that we chose that Cypress Assisted Living overmedicated my mom for 2 night in a row. I facetime her every night and she looked like a zombie, slurring her words and fell asleep hanging over the bed. She had a small bed sore near her tailbone, she was left for 3-4 hours at a time in a soiled diaper. There was one night, one of the first or second that the ‘caregivers’ gave her a bell to ring, she rang the bell over 20 times. Mind you, this was at 9pm, they didn’t come back to check on her until 3AM. She could have fallen or could have had a medical complication and those ‘caregivers’ wouldn’t have known. My specific issues are with a caregiver named Ana. The home is filled with patients that can’t speak, my mom would ask questions and they would ignore her. They would force drugs down her throat and wouldn’t explain or tell her what she was taking. Ana told my mom that she needed to take a sleeping pill by 7:00pm, my poor mother agreed to do so in exchange for Ana to change her diaper more frequently. It makes me absolutely SICK to think about. If you are considering this home, RUN. Do not take your loved one here. I’m sorry that I had to expose my mom to this awful place. My aunt came to visit and witnessed the caregivers physically pushing residents back down in their wheel chairs with force. I asked for all medication when we had the ambulance transfer my mom to another facility, Cypress Assisted Living kept some of her pain pills. They didn’t give me all of her meds. We signed a monthly contract and had to pay a 2k ‘community fee’ plus the monthly fee and we have not been refunded one cent. We were there for less than 2 weeks. I had to send an email to break the months contract, there was no call, email or any response since we’ve been gone. Hope this helps someone in the future make a better decision for their loved one, this facility is not it.
