Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. I met some the sweetest people here. Especially the sales director Stephanie. She was so welcoming and very knowledgeable. I appreciate that. Great customer service is all one can ask for these days. I look forward to a continued relationship. Thanks.
My mom was a loyal tenant for almost 3 years. She passed away on April 29, 2026. We informed them on April 24th she was sick. We cleaned out the apartment totally and turned the keys in on May 5th. When we talked to Brook on April 30 she expressed her condolences and said out of the goodness of her heart she would wave the May rent since she passed at the end of the month. On May 9th I see that they have deducted $2,100 from moms account. When we called Brook to ask about it she said you have to give a 30 day notice. On May 9th I see that they have deducted $2,100 from moms account. When we called Brook to ask about it she said you have to give a 30 day notice. I explained that mother passed and there is no way a person can give a 30 day notice when someone passes. She said what she meant by explaining she would comp us “out of the goodness of her heart” meant she would comp all mom’s meals, not rent. She never once said anything about meals! I think it’s terriable business to do what they did and I will tell everyone I know to don’t even consider this place. In addition to this mom moved in Aug of 2023 and by April of 2026 they had raised the rent $500 a month, which equates to $6,000 a year. I understand leases being raised but this is a little ridiculous!
My father was a resident at both the independent living and assisted living buildings. While he was still active, he enjoyed independent living with it’s dining options and delicious food choices. There are a lot of activities to choose from and nice green spaces to walk around outside. I am very grateful for the staff at the Assisted Living. There are a lot of activities to choose from and nice green spaces to walk around outside. I am very grateful for the staff at the Assisted Living. The front desk, administration, food service, maintenance, and caregivers were so friendly, caring and concerned about my dad. The caregivers especially were attentive and respectful to my dad at the end of his life. The building is new and beautifully decorated with a nice dining room and places to sit and relax which is nice, but I would highly recommend Discovery village because of the friendly and caring staff.
Review for assisted living kitchen- I feel concerned about food safety and workplace practices. I’ve personally seen food being kept past what I believe are safe time limits and issues with cleanliness in the kitchen. Residents deserve fresh, properly handled meals, especially considering what they are paying. Moping going on while people are cooking not only is that disgusting but unsanitary a new chef is needed immediately I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves standards for both staff and residents.
Very excellent 55 plus community. Feels like home. Apartments are nice with lots of storage. Amenities are included, which is very unusual. The food is exceptional and included in the price. The hallways are wide and high and the building is well cared for and decorated beautifully.
My mom recently moved into the Memory Care at Discovery Village at Castle Hills. Lauren Johnston was amazing from the first time we contacted her in June to when we actually made the move in March. Lauren is knowledgeable, understanding and genuinely caring. She made herself available and was responsive (even on weekends) to answer any questions. Since moving my mom into Discovery Village, I have felt at ease with the knowledge she is being cared for by people who have an interest in her well being. Memory Care is a lively place with a multitude of activities for residents to participate in. In addition they frequently have live music which is one of my mom's favorite things. I love how clean the facility is and the quality of the food is exceptional. Everyone I have come into contact with at Discovery Village at Castle Hills has been very friendly and kind. They have wonderful staff (Patty, Zoey, Sam, and MJ to name a few)who truly love what they do. I would recommend Discovery Village to anyone who may be looking at Memory Care for their elderly parent.
My elderly parents had been living independently for many years (they're currently 92 and 87) - arguably, too many years. After a series of tumbles and health scares, it was simply time for them to be in a safe environment with skilled, round-the-clock care. My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I visited several places, which were "fine," but for one reason or another, just didn't give us the feel-goods we had hoped for for our folks. Then we made an appointment to tour Discovery Villages at Castle Hills, a brand new assisted living facility in Lewisville. We live in Carrollton, and the location was extremely convenient to us, The Colony, Plano, Frisco, and right off Highway 121. From the moment we stepped inside, met the wonderful front desk concierges Rose and Dana, and senior living counselor Lauren Johnston, we knew we had found the place we'd prayed for. Lauren was warm, knowledgeable and reassuring. She was extremely experienced, yet never jaded or impatient with us as we asked a million questions. The facility itself was impeccable, with a thoughtful layout and beautifully appointed (no nursing home vibes). It was clear that all the staff members were not only seasoned professionals, but passionate about their work, as if it was a calling for them. I can't tell you how differentiating this was compared to many of the places we'd been to. We were immediately convinced this was the perfect home for our parents, and were fortunate to secure a lovely 2-bedroom apartment that was becoming available at the end of the month. Moving super-seniors is no enviable task, with years of accumulated things having to be sorted, donated, packed, etc. There's also a small mountain of paperwork and other documentation required, as well as medical assessments and a plan of care to create for each new resident. Lauren facilitated all of these, connecting our parents with a fantastic new primary care physician, Dr. Najam Khan, who has a private practice but also an office at Discovery Villages where he takes appointments with residents one day a week. Because of his close relationship with the facility, Dr. Khan was able to fit in my folks and do the requisite checkups and other diagnostics they needed before move in. Huge relief, and my parents absolutely loved him and his team. On move-in day, everything went so smoothly, and a number of DV staff members stopped by to greet mom and dad and introduce themselves. For people who had been living on their own for almost a century, and for whom change is understandably not easy, they felt instantly at home, pampered, and actually excited to start a new life without the worries and hazards they'd been navigating. I don't think they realized how stressful that actually had been for them until they came to Discovery Villages, where they could finally rest, relax, eat like a king and queen, and be surrounded by experts who truly cared about their mental and physical well-being. I also can't overstate the relief and sense of peace the rest of the family had knowing our parents would be in the best of hands. If you find yourself in a similar situation, we strongly encourage you to reach out to Lauren and staff to experience Discovery Villages yourself. We obviously can't say enough good things about it, and think you will see why. - Diane and Doug Duncan, with Amy and Chris Johnson
The facility is amazing. Stephanie gave my Mother & I a Tour. We stayed and had lunch. The food was delicious.
