After researching many nursing homes with skilled nursing, I thought 5 points rating of 4 would be good for my husband . He has dementia and had recently had a small stroke and need rehab. As many nursing homes, this one could be understaffed . When doctor said hold blood thinners for 5 days, they didn’t communicate to others. So was given anyway up to 48 hrs before surgery. Physical therapy wasn’t enough daily. So layed in bed 80 percent of day. I am somewhat disappointed in 5 points.
In looking for a rehab for my husband, I was super excited to find five point until I read the reviews. This was disappointing and despicable how the family that the mother had dementia, was treated. We are all going to reach an older age. The problem with the medical facilities nowadays is the fact, they don't pay enough and therefore not going to aquire good personal. But, no one absolutely no one deserves to be treated in an uncaring way. You see if they do this to even one person, they will do it to the next person So if you are researching for a place for your loved one, keep looking.…

Let me first say that the experience we had there with my dad was nothing short of exceptional. Could there be some areas of improvement? Absolutely, every place falls in that category. But, from the nurses, aids and staff, they were wonderful. I have to give a big shout out to Cheryl and the physical therapists. My dad could barely move his arms and could not move his legs at all when he got there. Thirty days later, he walked out of there! Last, but not at all least, is Bre. She might be the most wonderful human being you could come in contact with. She was right on top of all our needs and…

She might be the most wonderful human being you could come in contact with. She was right on top of all our needs and requests. She truly is a caring soul. Like I said, no place is perfect and to believe that a place is, is naive. However, Five Points exceeded our expectations!
This care facilities (owners/investors) suffers from the same things as all the care facilities I've dealt with---understaffed, poorly paid staff, promised care they have difficulty providing yet collect money for services. My family member has gone up to 4 days without baths. When you call to request help, you get referrals to "nursing" where no one answers. When you do get to talk to someone, you are told "They can get a bath whenever requested." Yet they don't get one. God help us. Maybe our only hope in this world is for AI (robots) to drive all these facilities out of business.
Great place... Very clean, friendly staff ( nursing, techs, housekeeping), lots of activities for patient's, therapist (occupational, speech and physical) are awesome, food was always delicious! Highly recommend 5 Points College Station!!
The facility is immaculate, staff is friendly and caring. They made the whole process of admitting my mother effortless. I highly recommend 5 points over any other Nursing Home in the area. Mom really enjoyed the chili cheese dog, tots and sourcrout for her first meal there!
My dad died in there on May 10 due to protein caloric deficiency. My dad was a fall risk and he was not monitored enough to prevent the falling. Due to the multiple falls a week before his death, my dad succumbed to pain and couldn’t eat or drink due to that. They have sugarcoated my dads’s death to save their reputation and made the hospice take their word. I will have this investigated as soon as I get a lawyer. My dad did not die from starvation. Just because he has DNR assigned doesn’t mean he can’t be saved. He only been there since March 2025.
Let me say first of all that there is no perfect nursing or rehab facility, but in my opinion Five Points comes as close to that goal as one could expect. Selecting a rehabilitation facility is a daunting task for which few of us are prepared, and after looking at several others, I decided on Five Points. Krysta and her team run a clean, orderly, and welcoming facility where the staff are friendly, conscientious, and competent. The four halls converge on a large, bright, and open area which contains the nurses station, offices, and public visiting space where there are pleasantly arranged tables, chairs and sofas. There is even a faux fireplace that generates heat, and artwork on the walls. A very pleasant space indeed. My 80 year old friend for whom I am caregiver, has just been discharged after almost 5 weeks of post stroke rehabilitative therapy. The physio, occupational, and speech therapists are all certified and attentive. The therapy gym is well equipped and spacious. The rooms are reasonably sized, each with a large window and private bath. In the rehab wing, every effort is made to give each rehabilitating patient their own room, which was the case for my friend. Housekeeping services clean the room every day, and the laundry will wash your soiled clothes at no charge, if you choose. Each room has its own thermostat; the AC and heating unit is very quiet. My friend found the food tasty, but I augmented the meals with yogurt, cheese, fresh fruit and crunchy vegetables that we kept in a small dorm sized fridge which we procured ourselves. The experience was very good, and I would not hesitate to recommend the Five Points facility without reservation. Thank you to the entire staff!
