Administration Staff was very caring and knowledgeable. Nursing Staff and Team on 400 wing were very friendly and attentive to my dad; however when he was moved to another wing staff wasn’t as attentive. PT/OT Team were excellent my dad liked all the staff and looked forward to go work with staff. The food was horrible. They definitely need to improve food. The beds were old and need to be replaced. I would give a higher grade, but the food was horrible. Regards
Our Mother has been at Garden Terrace for over a year and has had a good all around experience. As daughters managing her care, we just wanted to thank Carol Sims, the Business Office Manager, for always going over and above! Whether she is staying on top of the financials or offering her knowledge and expertise in patient care, she always does it with a caring heart and endless kindness! We sure appreciate you Carol!
My mother Irma Stafford has been a patient here for 2 years but we are recently noticing a decline in patient care. From attending to patient needs in a timely manner to the food service. Mom likes it there but some attention to especially staffing is needed. I know it's hard to manage personalities, but people who desire to work in this environment need have a compassionate attitude. Not just here for a pay check. Gary Stafford
My father has been at this facility two different occasions. The first time he was there they lost his personal wheelchair. I only saw it in his room the first day he got there. We kept on asking staff about it but they couldn’t tell us anything, they would only take different wheelchairs that were not his. We had just gotten his wheelchair about a month prior to his stay. They found his wheelchair the day before he came home because we emailed the executive director about the situation. The second occasion he stayed here I called the facility to inform them that his urologist wanted to see him for a post-op appointment. I called on a Sunday and the appointment was for a Tuesday. I spoke to the nurse and gave her all the information she needed. She assured me that he would be taken to the appointment. On the day of the appointment I was waiting at the urologist for him. When I saw that he wasn’t showing up I called the facility three times and no one answered. I looked up the number for transportation and called them. That’s when I was told that no one scheduled transportation for him. If a nurse cannot schedule a simple transportation for a doctor’s appointment they do not need to be working at a nursing home. I took my father out the next day.
I’m so grateful for the care my mom received. It was a shaky start at first because my mom was in tremendous pain and we didn’t know what to expect at a skilled nursing facility. The nurses and doctors tried their best to manage her pain. LaToya, Sanda and the PT crew did an amazing job getting her to move up off her bed even though she gave them every excuse why she couldn’t move. They were patient and kind and most of all, they didn’t give up on my mom! Wonderful angels like Ms. Esther, Sushmita, Sofia, Diane, and others who I didn’t get their names, made GT feel like a home for my mom.
This place deserve 0 stars . The ED Chrissy never spoke with us been waiting for a call , text anything . My mother was there for 3 weeks and the first 2 weeks didn’t take a shower . We had to beg her for a shower . Day one housekeeping cursed at us because they was mopping and they put wrong signs up. They NEVER answer the call lights my mother had to call me to clean her up . Foul odors only cleaned because state was coming that day . They don’t answer the phones never gave us the door code stood outside until they answered . For someone to live there and travel back and forth out the building should be able to shower that was the topper ZERO Stars !!!!!!!!!!!
Let's go! 1st when you visit during the day it's staff on every hall at almost every station. The food choice.....what can I day there isn't one! Patients in a private suite and a shared one all receive the same meals. That's not a compliment 😐 The food must be pre-cooked. It's never fresh! Dinner is a grilled cheese sandwich and chips. What happened to a balanced diet? Protein and 2 veggies? The facility is clean. They fail on food services and after hour's staffing! Me giving 2 stars is being generous! If you have Medicare and or private paying patients either way your facility is being paid......upgrade your meals. We shouldn't pay twice for food. We leave to go purchase our loved one a hot meal! Ridiculous!
We have trusted Garden Terrace with four family members over the past 23 yrs. There are so many caring people at this facility. They welcome family involvement and actively work toward the rehabilitation of your loved one. Any issues that you may have are taken seriously and addressed immediately. Thank you Garden Terrace. Five stars for me!
