I’ve had a parent here for 5 years and counting. I live two hours away & it would be easier to have my parent closer, but I don’t think I could find the same level of genuine care at any other care facility. The staff at Oakwell are irreplaceable, they take thoughtful and consistent care, keep me updated with problems and successes, fill the day with resident activities, and host frequent family engagement events, including support for families navigating the path of memory loss. My parent is a long-track case, knowing we’re in capable hands gives me peace of mind that is invaluable. We will…

My mother has been living here for about 10 months, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Finding a place that truly understands and cares for someone with dementia is priceless. The staff is amazing—they treat my mother with so much love, patience, kindness, and respect, as if she were their own family. This isn’t just another senior facility; it truly feels like a home. It’s warm, welcoming, and never overcrowded, giving us peace of mind knowing she’s safe and genuinely cared for every day. We feel incredibly blessed to have found this place and highly recommend it to any family looking for…

Just moved my grandpa in and cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience. Jeff was knowledgeable and kind and really made my family feel safe and content in our decision. Thank you!
Highly recommend this loving memory care. Beautiful facility with dedicated, caring staff. We love the full activity schedule and engagement of their residents, who are all treated as family. Jeff made our move-in process an exceptional one and our entire weekend was seamless! The community really tailors the move in experience to your loved one, which you won’t find anywhere else. Thank you Wholehearted for your attention to detail with our whole family.
My grandmother recently moved into Oakwell, and the experience has been absolutely wonderful. What truly won us over was the activity coordinator, Jeff. I’ve never seen someone show such genuine love and compassion for every resident—he treats them like they’re part of his own family. He takes the time to personally connect with each individual. The world needs more people like this young man; he has a bright future ahead of him. Thank you, Gemstone.
Staff there generally nice and helpful but there are usually only a few that make the difference as in this business there is a lot of turnover in staff. It is a very good value for the money.
This place is just like a home. The rooms were a perfect size and the staff were great. If we could’ve afforded private pay forever, we would have stayed. We left simply because we eventually needed Medicaid. But trust if you can afford, this small homey place is perfect for your loved ones.
I was not greeted by staff, but my visit was pleasant. Entry was easy. The patient was clean & well groomed! All good.
