When my mother came to Green Haven, she was already under hospice care, and I wasn't sure what to expect from a care home of this size. From the very first day, the caregivers treated her with such warmth and dignity. Her room was so cozy, filled with natural light, and felt nothing like a clinical space — it truly felt like a home. There was always someone by her side, day and night. The caregivers stayed closely coordinated with her hospice nurses and with our family the entire time, checking in constantly to make sure her comfort levels, medications, and any needs were being met right away, so she never had a moment of unnecessary discomfort. They even prepared a special liquid diet for her, tailored to what she needed at that stage, which meant so much to us. She was only with them for a short period of time, but it felt like she'd been part of the Green Haven family much longer. She was surrounded by people who genuinely cared, not just checking boxes, but sitting with her, caring for her, and making sure our whole family felt supported. Family and friends from our church were able to come visit her often, and Green Haven welcomed them warmly every time, which meant so much to all of us. Between the caregivers' round-the-clock presence and their close communication with hospice, we always felt like we knew exactly how she was doing and that she was in gentle, capable hands. It meant the world to our family that she got to be in the comfort of an actual home, surrounded by love, rather than feeling rushed or like just another patient in an institution. We were able to be by her side, in a calm and peaceful place, the whole time. I'm so grateful to the caregivers at Green Haven for how they cared for my mother during her time there. They gave our family real peace of mind during an incredibly difficult time, and I'll always be thankful for that.

Green Haven is a hidden gem in Houston. I love that it’s a boutique assisted living home with only eight residents, which allows for truly personalized care and attention. My cousin and I toured Green Haven Assisted Living a few weeks ago while looking into options for his mom. We've visited several assisted living homes over the years, but this one stood out in a way the others didn't. From the moment we walked in, it felt warm and inviting—more like stepping into someone's actual home than a facility. You could tell the owner decorated it the way she'd decorate her own house, with thoughtful touches and beautiful décor that made the space feel comfortable rather than cold or clinical. It genuinely felt like a home where people are cared for. The owner personally gave us the tour, which I really appreciated. She clearly knows every detail of the home and came across as genuinely caring and engaged, not like someone simply checking boxes. Everything was exceptionally well maintained, from the floors to the furniture. It was obvious that real care goes into keeping the home clean and comfortable. I also noticed the property is fully fenced in both the front and back, which really stood out to me as an added safety feature for residents. The backyard was probably my favorite part. It's spacious, peaceful, and much nicer than I expected. I could easily picture residents enjoying fresh air, sunshine, and time outdoors instead of spending all day inside. My cousin even commented that none of the other places we'd toured had an outdoor space comparable to this one. Another nice feature is that the rooms come furnished with essentials like a bed, dresser, and TV, which takes one more thing off a family's plate during what can already be a stressful transition. The location is another plus. It's in Spring Branch, close to Memorial and not far from Memorial City Medical Center, which provides extra peace of mind. I honestly wasn't expecting to be this impressed, but we left feeling like we'd found a real hidden gem. If you're looking for an assisted living home that feels warm, personal, and genuinely well cared for, Green Haven is absolutely worth touring.

When my 84 y/o mother was discharged from a skilled nursing facility after her hip replacement, she still needed more time and care before she could safely return home. Finding the right place for that next step was stressful. We wanted somewhere that would truly look after them, not just fill a bed. Green Haven gave us exactly that. The staff is just sweet and genuinely kind who took the time to know my mother and make her feel comfortable and at ease. Her home health agency sent a physical therapist to work with her directly at the facility, and having that continuity of care in a place that felt warm and homelike made all the difference in her progress. The meals were nutritious and delicious and something she actually looked forward to every day, thoughtful cooking that you don’t always find in care settings. After three months, she left healthier and stronger than when she arrived and was able to return home. At 84, that kind of recovery doesn’t happen without the right environment and the right people around you. Our family couldn’t have asked for a better place for her during that time and we are so grateful to the staff and owner who have been so sweet to her.

As an LCSW, I found Green Haven Assisted Living to be a solid, well-designed option for families. The owner has created a safe and comfortable home, and the secured fencing is a real advantage—especially for residents with dementia who need close monitoring. The inside feels warm and home-like, with spacious bedrooms and three full ADA-compliant bathrooms serving the six rooms. Overall, Green Haven is a thoughtful, practical choice for anyone looking for a small residential setting with strong safety features.

I toured Green Haven assisted living facility yesterday as a healthcare professional, and I was genuinely impressed. The home has a warm, boutique feel—beautiful real hardwood floors, thoughtful design throughout, and an extremely low resident-to-staff ratio that immediately stood out to me. You can tell the owner poured enormous time and care into every detail. The property is also extraordinarily secure and well-planned for residents with dementia, including a beautifully built perimeter fence and the largest, safest outdoor deck space I’ve ever seen in a residential facility. The back deck alone offers a spacious, peaceful area for fresh air and connection. The owner is patient, dedicated, and clearly committed to operating a high-quality home. Based on what I saw, I’m confident he will run an excellent facility. Highly recommend.
