My grandma is being taken care of really nicely! I love the nurses and although the smell can linger I know they try their best to clean! So appreciate this facility trying their best with what they can do!
My mom was sent here to Legend Oaks SOUTH after falling and requiring rehab for hip replacement. The rooms are tiny & separated by a curtain. Extremely crowded areas. My mom was there 1 day and began to feel sick (not related to the nursing home). She was in extreme pain. My complaint is that she told the nurse she wasn't feeling well. 2 hrs had passed nothing was done. I arrived and spoke to the nurse who said he was new and didn't know what to do but contact the Dr. He said we would have to wait on a response. I said you can't give her tums or pepto? I arrived and spoke to the nurse who said he was new and didn't know what to do but contact the Dr. He said we would have to wait on a response. I said you can't give her tums or pepto? I honestly thought at first it was something she ate. She cried in pain and began vomiting. We sat with her and I asked two other facility members and no one helped her. They just decided to stay away & not enter her room. After 6 hrs of pain I looked for the nurse & told them she needs to go to the hospital if you aren't going to do anything. They looked at me puzzled and said okay we will contact EMS. That night I took her belongings and told her she would never return. My mom was very sick and admitted into the hospital. Two days later their physical therapy staff called asking for her because nothing was noted in her records. He said, "um where is your mom"? I told him what happened & said she would never return there & not even an apology from their director fixed it. She said it was not the way they took care of their patients. Well they did with my mom.
I visit my sister at this facility. Staff is friendly. My sister has changed rooms 3 times, since she arrived. During the night hours; her roommates tend to be unhappy, yell for help and ask her to call the nurse. She wasn't able to rest. She got moved and the roommate gets the room for herself. Go figure 🤔 Overall it is a nice place, but staffing shortages do affect the patients.
Friendliness, and helpful to my wounds care. Therapy was a learning process. The Staff encouragement to try as best you can do. Enjoy the activities and games we played.
I’m from out of state and I was just visiting someone from the family. It was very welcoming. It was also clean. Patients seem to be relaxing around the facility. Overall, very good experience.
My mother in law was in rehab there. I must say that although the staff seems nice (while we are there) I don't feel confident that that's how it is.When we leave. while visiting, I heard a resident yelling help help, and I saw one of the staff members go in the room shut the door behind them. They were in there only a short time walked out and closed door when they walked out. I took it upon myself to go and open the door to check on him. They had him facing the corner with a blanket all the way up to his neck and it smelled like poop in there. I would not recommend this place. I also made a complaint about my mother laws condition that deteriorated while she was there same day.
My Aunt broke her hip and I went to go visit her and I was pleasantly surprised. The place smells clean, the staff waa friendly and informative. They actually have a receptionist. She was going to give me instructions, but since my other aunt liver in a nursing home I am already familiar with that type if system. You have to be let in and out for the security of the patients which is a plus!
My father stayed here while in recovery from major surgery and they took excellent care of him! I was so afraid to leave him with strangers but he quickly grew to love the staff members and they loved him too🥹His stay was filled with activities and engagement that he genuinely enjoyed. Rooms fill up so fast there and now I understand why lol It's really one of the best care facilities in town. On behalf of my family and father, I'd like to thank the wonderful staff at Legend Oaks for the compassion and empathy they showered him with during his stay. He really loved you all so much! Thank you🤗💕💕
