I highly recommend this program and its outstanding staff to families who are searching for an excellent environment for a family member to live in . Drew has received excellent care and attention, and he really enjoys his life there based on the opportunity to participate in so many different activities and outings . From day one, the team has been friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in making residents feel comfortable and at home. I'm just going to start by saying this community is a true unicorn ! There is nothing like it in the area or for the community it serves! I really can’t say enough good things about Live Oak. From day one, the team has been friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in making residents feel comfortable and at home. There’s always something going on to keep residents engaged, and it’s clear a lot of thought goes into creating a unique and positive environment. The staff communicate well and are easy to connect with, which makes everything feel more personal. What stands out most is the level of care and respect shown to residents every day. It’s reassuring to know they’re in a place where they’re truly looked after, and encouraged in flourish and strengthen the skills they innately have.
We appreciate the quality care that our family member receives at Live Oak. It is personalized and focused on her individual needs at every level; physical to emotional. We are so grateful for the devoted staff and the idealistic setting.

They create a supportive and respectful environment where everyone is treated with dignity and care. Live oak is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which makes it feel welcoming and safe. There are regular activities that encourage social interaction and personal growth, and it’s clear that a lot of thought goes into making residents feel engaged and valued. Communication with families is also excellent. The staff keep everyone informed and are always open to questions or concerns. It’s reassuring to know that loved ones are in a place where they are not only looked after, but truly cared about. Overall, I highly recommend Live oak to anyone looking for a compassionate and reliable living environment.
A loving, caring community in a beautiful rural setting
My brother-in-law needed some assistance in his living arrangements. He was not doing well on his own, but wanted some independence. We happened upon Live Oak through the recommendation of an acquaintance. That was over 10 years ago. Not only does he now have his own little community, and peers which are his closest thing to friends for him, but we have huge piece of mine that he has been well cared for and entertained. They have a great schedule with lots of activities in which he can participate. And so much one on one individual care. We have been so fortunate to have found Live Oak. It has made a huge difference to the quality of my brother-in-law’s life. Cannot recommended enough!
Live Oak has been a great community for our 39 year old son who was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome at 27. It has tailored the right mix of support and independence to allow him to have a fulfilling life and make lifelong friendships with other residents and staff. The staff have supported him in a three day / week volunteering schedule at the reception desk at the local hospital. They’ve done an amazing job of coordinating his care regime with local doctors and providing access to very professional counseling. The staff are both dedicated and caring. We’re pleased that our son is living his best life there. Live Oak is a very special place and we are so happy we found it.
