I can’t say enough good things about Lyndale Memory care. The whole staff is very caring, attentive, patient, kind supportive etc. The most important thing the residents are happy. The last place I had my friend at was horrible. We felt she was unsafe there. After taking her to Lyndale the weight and worry was lifted off our shoulders. The staff goes over and beyond in caring for the residents. I couldn’t be more pleased with them. They are outstanding and deserves a reward.
The facility can not keep staff, every time I visited there was different staff. I'm totally upset with the lack of staff and the lack of communication with the patients. An example, my wife was experiencing a medical emergency and the nurse wanted to call an ambulance, she was reprimanded and told to not call, as a result they had to call anyway because she could not stay in control of her own breathing. She was taken to the hospital and stayed there for at least two weeks and was then admitted to the hospital hospice center and never returned to Lyndale. My daughter in law and her extended…
My daughter in law and her extended family were aware she couldn't return so they cleared her room so they could admit a new client, when she informed the registrar that the room was empty they told her they wanted a 30 day notice and they would charge one month fee to clear the facility. This is the most expensive and uncaring place I have ever been associated with. All they want is money. Several times I visited my wife and her room was in disarray and things came up missing. I reported that to the front desk and they apologized and that was it. [name removed] lived until August and passed in her sleep at thee Hospice facility in Graham, Tx. They were so helpful and they responded immediately to any situation that arose. They said they had never heard of a nursing facility charging for a 30 day notice. They were great and [name removed] lived comfortably until her death. I still get notices in the mail from Lyndale asking for the 30 day fee. I'm totally disappointed with my experience with Lyndale and cannot recommend it to anyone that needs nursing help. Not a place for mom, it's a place to make money without regard for the quality of health to the residents. Don't be fooled by their initial impression, it's a scripted story. I strongly disagree that it should be considered as a place for mom.
All the staff, the cleanliness, the love and care, the atmosphere, meals, dining with grace, activities, patio, theatre, [name removed] hair stylist, concierge, maintenance, housekeeping, dietary, snacks, security. People people people
Others, they need to see for themselves. I would recommend if they can afford it. They don't take insurance.
We are more at peace knowing Mom is safe, secure and well loved at Lyndale. Lyndale is a beautiful, clean and the staff is specially trained in memory care.
We loved the community. The rooms are more home like with my moms own furnishings. They are also larger than most.I appreciated the training aids get - they are trained that they are entering the home of the resident, instead of thinking of it like a hospital where people barge in and out.I liked the set up. There is lots of room to roam rather than a centralized nurse station with hallways off it. It is lovely when you walk in with coffee shop, beauty shop and small movie room. I also really appreciated for dining rooms as opposed to one giant cafeteria.
Our family had an in-person tour with Lyndale Abilene Memory Care and overall it was a good community and tour experience, but it was just not going to be the right place for our loved one
She seems to like it there. The food looks good but I have never eaten there.
