This is the best place I've ever seen they treat you like family they care for you and they don't do this for the money it's for the love of people I thank God for them.
Everyone that works there are amazing they are like family they work hard care about there residents I will difently be back
The staff at Medina Valley are always so welcoming & warm from the front door all the way to the nursing team. 10/10 recommend.
I have been a resident of Castroville for 13 years. My daughter is a nurse who has been going in to Medina Valley Health and Rehab for over 8 years. I have personally visited the facility and found it to be clean, no odors, except the delicious smell of food from the cafeteria. Kelly at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The residents were clean and looked comfortable as they played cards, listened to music, and interacted with the staff. My daughter has told me repeatedly how dedicated the staff is to the residents and how they treat the residents like family. We would both highly recommend Medina Valley Health and Rehab.
This place is the worst and if I could bring my aunt home I would. I never know anything about her unless hospice calls. I have made several attempts to get through to these people and it never fails they disappoint. I have spoken to the director and still nothing changes. The nurses there seem to look at this as another job and not someone family member they are caring for. There’s not one good thing I can say about this place. Do not put your loved one here
Poor staffing and attentiveness
Bad attitudes at this nursing department. Do not recommend. Nurses are under stress. Management is like dictatorship.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!!!!! My grandmother was brought here by ambulance, at a scheduled time, during one of the coldest days, nobody answered the door, nobody answered the number posted on the door, the ambulance workers did not even know what to do. Eventually they ems workers just pulled the doors open and caused an alarm to go off, which no one came to check. They then took her all the way down to a room and put her in a bed without a single employee approaching for any reason. My grandmother was coming here to get physical therapy after being bedridden for having issues with her heart, this place was not prepared for someone with her level of needs. The room was boiling, her roommate was rolling around in bed only wearing an adult diaper and making very loud noises with only a curtain between them, they did not have cups with lids to ensure those who are weak can drink without spillage, they do not have any kind of rails to help those who are we to stay in bed, honestly if you’re loved one needs any kind of medical care during their stay do not let them stay here!!! We are moving her as soon as soon as possible. This place just seems like a nursing home where people who hate their parents drop them off at. Would give zero stars if possible.
