If you care at all for the well-being of your loved one I would not put them in this facility. Besides a few nurses in the memory care I can't remember the Jamaican nurse's name the rest don't care. I just bought my mom home Monday because she was not getting the care she needed and kept having falls. They were waking her up at 5am at one time and leaving her in a wheelchair until late at night without naps, wouldn't assist in feeding her because it was a dignity issue we were told. One of the nurses Jenny took my mom's wig off her head and put it on her head mocking my mom. I could go on and…

Even though it seems they get a visit from the state regularly!!!! If you would like more in depth information about my horrible experiences with this place...please reach out to me. And the owner of the facility please save your automatic response because I've already talked to you about this and nothing changed.
Very disappointing experience overall. Mesa Vista fell far short of expectations as a senior living facility. Communication with families was poor, and it was often difficult to get clear or timely information about my family member that lives there. Concerns were not addressed with the urgency or compassion you would expect.
The worst senior living place. Our experience is extremely disappointing and stressful. Communication with management is poor from the start—requests went unanswered, and when we did get responses, they were vague or dismissive.
Estelle Yabarra, the charge nurse at the memory unit is by far one of the most amazing nurses you will ever employ. The administrative staff from the top all the way through the social worker are well organized and assist the families anyway they possibly can. The nurses and staff of the memory care unit where my brother is at are complete professionals with the kindest hearts. With probably 65 or 70 patients, they are able to maintain order and discipline among the patients while caring for them in the most professional manner. I am thankful and very appreciative of all they do for those who can no longer do for themselves. Simply put they are angels on earth. 😇
The turnaround rate of the staff is expected considering the type of facility my husband is in. He has some very good CNA’s and nurses who are attentive to what he needs and what I say or suggest. For the most part the facility smells clean with few room exceptions on varying days. I believe Administration needs to take a more active role by making surprise walkthroughs. I would have given a higher rating if there was more consistency in all departments of this facility.
My grandmother lives here, and it's a horrible facility. They rarely change her diapers, and someone takes her to shower about once a week. She was sick recently, very slow moving and slurring her words. She was like that most of the day and no one seemed to care. We had to take her to the hospital. They ignore the call lights and sit on their phones a lot. And a lot of the staff have changed recently. Do your loved one a favor and please find them a better place.
During my mother in laws short stay at this facility, it was less than pleasant and we were deeply disappointed by the overall experience. It was immediately apparent that the facility is understaffed. The main phone line often rang without being answered. Also I made multiple attempts to speak with the Director and P.T. and never received a return call. We were simply trying to get an update on her progress, which should not have been so difficult. Additionally, her bathroom was consistently filthy and clearly not being cleaned regularly- an unacceptable condition for any healthcare environment. Due to the lack of communication, poor cleanliness, and overall neglect, we would not recommend this facility for your loved ones.
Beautiful facility with caring staff. Respite time extremely appreciated.
