The best department at the VA healthcare system is the Pharmacy. I have been getting all my prescriptions throught the mail for 23 years... I take 14 different scripts per day, so that means they mailed thousands of scripts to my home. In all that time they never made one mistake!!! 100% accuracy. This week for the first time in about 15 years the Post Office lost one of my prescriptions, I was very neverous calling Pharmacy, but the tech was very nice and understanding... They not only refilled it, but sent it overnite delievery. They are really awesome!!!!
“ You fell through the cracks here since 2007 “ = told this on 9/2023 following a MVA , by M.H. Exam Dr. J. Lampkin “ you cannot connect lines on a cognitive test “ = told this by a M.H. Exam Dr. J Lampkin. = 9/2023 following a MVA “how did WE fail you Mr. Hanna“ an unknown / un-named female “Doctor”asked me this question during a inpatient stay in 2024 = then no more care ever. No name tag, would not present i.d. Would not positivity identify herself. Just ill fitting scrubs curly blond-ish hair and a uneven gait wearing a white coat. Yet what a great question huh. “ We can’t help you ,…

Yet what a great question huh. “ We can’t help you , TYFYS “ In regards to er care and arrest after a MVA ( Nuero related as well ) = yes I was told this following a MVA “ maybe next time we will bring a dr in so you don’t have to repeat yourself “ Nuero dept told me during a visit “things happen before people die” = great bedside manner during a inpatient visit. = told following a MVA Overall. ** They will give you 2-10 years in jail rather then healthcare. ** They will drag you outta the er. ** They will backdate a BEHAVIORAL FLAG to ensure you can’t come back. *** Their patient advocates p. franklen and w. babbers Will threaten physical bodily harm upon you and nothing happens. Execpt you may get arrested several times seeking “ care “ get charged. Jailed. And Denied all future care. *** *** Good job Houston great hospital. Va you’ve been great since 2007 it seems.
I had a great experience. Early Saturday morning dentist appointment, so traffic was smooth and I easily found parking. I usually really hate dentist visits, they're usually full of being told all the ways I live incorrectly and need to do better. Dr. Heckenbach and the team there didn't do that. He was very professional and answered all of the questions I would've had just as he spoke while conducting his exam. He was thorough and honest with me about things that needed to be addresses versus things that weren't an issue. I was also seen very promptly. I didn't have to wait a crazy long time…

He was thorough and honest with me about things that needed to be addresses versus things that weren't an issue. I was also seen very promptly. I didn't have to wait a crazy long time past when my appointment was supposed to be. I did feel a little lost getting into the building at first, and nobody was at the information desk to help. But thankfully I was able to find my way with the appointment info in my VA app.
my experiences have been positive. They were very I recently began utilizing the VA for medical. They sent me to several specialist, to create my medical profile. I have no complaints.
As a 100% P&T service member assigned to the VA hospital in 2016, I have encountered significant challenges. The staff exhibits poor attitudes and inconsistently enforces rules. They issue letters to remove patients from their primary care providers for missed appointments and seem to link necessary medications to visits. For instance, I have been in the system for over 10 years, and the doctor was upset. I messaged her to ask for a refill of my mental health medications, and she responded with a highly disrespectful message stating that I needed to come in physically to see her for a medication refill. I do this with my other doctors, and she needs to get my labs and see the results. I am unsure why she could not see my labs; she (Dr. Alam) is in the same clinic as my primary care provider. I have never been told this; in fact, another doctor told me that I did not need to come in, and my medications had not changed since 2016. Dr. Alam has added more stress in my life attempting to make appointments EVERY 90 days a civilian worker. Despite being a patient at the Fayetteville Arkansas Hospital and the San Antonio VA Hospital since 2016, my experience at the Houston VA Hospital in 2021 has been overwhelmingly stressful. The hospital staff appears to be the rule and policy makers rather than the hospital leadership. As a patient, I have witnessed the consequences of missing an appointment, receiving a letter indicating that the hospital will remove me from my primary care provider. The nurses, doctors, and patient staff have consistently demonstrated poor behavior. I have observed numerous instances, such as waiting in long queues for care and being called by staff as if this is still the military, going to the lab and lab workers working in absolutely filthy, by hospital standards, and I am aware of hospital standards because I have worked in a hospital. This treatment of veterans who have earned this care is unacceptable. The ABSOLUTE WORST hospital/clinc and staff. Nikki King Proud Veteran
