Very bad place. Sub standard care. Leave patients in wet diapers. Dont come to help. Call light not working, so told patient to use phone if needed help. Patient is 86 y/o!. Other equipment not working properly. Patients do not get to choose food. If they don't want meal provided they can order a snack instead. No special diet provisions. Removed my family member after just 2 days.
It’s survivable but not fun. They hassle you about vaping, steal your vape pens, the food is alright but pretty bland, they hassle you about asking for your pain medication (my fingertips were burned then cut off), and some of the nurses and CNAs are very nasty with you. Other than that, it’s great.
Warm and friendly environment! Staff are professional and attentive when it comes to the resident's needs. Jackie the admission assistant is very kind and helpful to everyone!
My Brother was just brought to Park Manor South at 9:30 PM on Friday night March 27th from HCA Bayshore Hospital. He just had surgery on both feet he fell and broke both heels of his feet. He just had surgery on Tuesday March 24th . When he arrives at this facility they are telling him they can give him and regular meds or any pain meds he had orders for until Monday with pain management. When this facility excepted him on Friday night they are responsible to manage his pain. This can be a serious problem depending on the pain meds he has been given by the doctor plus regular meds. This is not legal. They should call PA or Doctor on call to overide his meds or temporarily authorize these meds until Monday when they have the proper staff. Also he can no stand or walk. He is non weight bearing for 6 to 8 weeks and they dont even have a transfer board there for him until Monday they say. He can not safely be transferred into a week chair. This is dangerous in its self. We were excited to get my brother to a rehab that was close to home so we can visit frequently. But this is ridiculous. The hospital should have kept him to Monday if they could not manage his pain when excepting him on a Friday night at 9:30 PM. Im really hoping for my brother's sake he can get a hold of someone ASAP doctor or NP or PA on call to dispense him some pain meds. How would the DOR feel to have surgery on both feet three days ago and no pain meds. Torchure! I dont even have anymore words .
I would never recommend Park Manor South belt in Pasadena, TX. My mom was transferred there from the hospital for rehabilitation and dropped off after 7pm. She was placed in a room and left alone - no one checked on her overnight. The next morning, my sister-in-law found her unresponsive with dried blood around her mouth and nose, and had difficulty finding staff to help. When my dad called that morning, he was told she was doing fine and had eaten breakfast on her own, which was completely untrue. At that time, she could not feed herself. After being unable to get immediate assistance, we called an ambulance. She was rushed to Memorial Hermann Southeast, where they acted quickly and had to place her on life support. She remained hospitalized for a month and a half. After that, she was transferred to Courtyards at Pasadena for rehabilitation, where she received excellent care. After more than three months, she is now recovering at home. In our opinion, much of this could have been avoided if she had received proper monitoring and care upon arrival. We were also disappointed in the discharge and transfer process from HCA Southeast, as we did not feel adequate precautions were taken to ensure a safe transition. The difference in care between facilities was night and day. Park Manor showed a serious lack of staffing, accountability, and compassion. Despite everything, they repeatedly contacted my dad for payment for a two day stay even though she wasn’t there for a full day. Please think carefully before trusting this facility with your loved one.
My 31 yr old was involved in a car accident and went to Park Manor after being discharged from HCA Hospital Webster. The staff at Park Manor was very attentive, professional and did an excellent job tending to his medical needs. LaTosha and Vicky were extremely helpful with providing information and guiding us through the discharge process. Wishing the entire staff and all the residents at Park Manor on Resource pkwy all the best.
Worst place in the world, we trusted our loved one to this facility and we are so unhappy with the way they treated him, nurses were rude, and didn't know the medications they were supposed to give my husband, I wish I could give no star at all
Went to visit my loved one who was transferred from the hospital to Park Manor. He had a broken femur and had just had his gallbladder removed. He was supposed to be resting for a minimum of a week when he got there. After two days they worked him so hard in physical therapy it caused everything to go down hill. He started leaking fluid from his incision site and when we showed up he was shivering in bed because his sheets were soaked . He said he had been crying like a baby all day. Think about how much fluid has to be coming out for the sheets to be soaked and for no one to come change them or to even think to send him back to the hospital. This was the first time I had a chance to go visit him and this rehab facility… I found a pill for high cholesterol on the hall floor way. I watched a nurse put some pills from the cart into a cup and then take them herself.. could it have been Tylenol … sure, but is it common practice to take meds from the cart and swallow them? We were able to get him to the ER within a few hours and he died less than 24 hours later. I would not send any loved ones to this facility unless you plan to stay by their side and make sure they get the care the need along with making sure they have the correct doctors orders. Thinking about this place makes me sick.
