Plantation at Quail Valley was a bit older than others. They were trying to update it. The staff was very good. In terms of activities, there wasn't a whole lot going on. And they didn't have a cafeteria, too. They had washer and dryer connections, so that was good. We would have our own washer and dryer. They had a pool, and as we were walking, they showed us a little golf tee area. They had a balcony or a porch, too.
I’ve lived here for several years and I moved from a complex where I owned a condo. I was glad to move into a complex which had a facilities staff to handle the usual maintenance issues at their expense instead of my own. The location is great for all sorts of activities with the Missouri City Recreation Center down the street and the YMCA just a handful of blocks away. This is not a nursing home, an assisted living facility or a personal care home. It’s an apartment complex for seniors who can get around pretty well on their own. Many of us still drive but PQV provides a van driver for regular outings to neighborhood banks, post office and grocery stores. They have regular activities in the Clubhouse and in good weather, there are activities around the pool. I feel safe here.
Plantation at Quail Valley was nice. They have a 1-bedroom 1-bath and a 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment. They have a washer/dryer in every unit. It seems like a nice community, I don't have a negative thing to say about it. The staff was very good, too. They have an area where the residents can gather and play games.
Office staff sucks!Get every word they tell you in writing. They tell you one thing then deny they said it.Other than those two in the office the place is nice.
Beware!!!! Advise that you record session and have attorney or Real Estate Broker review the lease before you sign. Promises and verbal agreements by leasing staff and management are not kept. Some terms of the lease are in violation of CODA (regs for lease properties), verbal abuse is common, "your lease will be the same for three years," Not so!!!!
Upon signing a lease at this place, you're agreeing to waive your right to free speech by management imposing a $10,000 fine on those that leave any kind of negative feedback about the property.
Very Patient Leasing Agents especially [name removed] and outstanding Executive Director / Property Manager [name removed]. [name removed] is very caring and very kind and gentle with all Senior Citizens whether they are prospective or current. [name removed] The Activity Director is especially very professional.
This community does not offer a lot of amenities. The cost is lower than other communities and they do seem to keep it clean. The person that took us on tour was friendly and helpful. We were looking for more of an active community.
