My father has been here twice. I would have given it another star but this last time my father stayed here was beyond disappointing. My father was here for about 2 weeks and suddenly they were stating his insurance wouldn't cover the stay. They only had his Medicare information and my father is a member of the Medicaid Star Plus Waiver program. It completely covers (among other things) long term care. I gathered the information for them and tried to call the woman who handles the information for 2 days to give it to her. Leaving multiple messages and would never get a call back. The very next…
The very next day I received a call from my father (not someone from the center) letting me know they released him. I was not prepared for his return home as I was fixing his room to be more accessible for him, but sent for him a ride home anyways. The center changed up his medication completely. I will say the changes made were for the better. But they did not call them into any pharmacy whatsoever so he could continue that medication schedule once at home. I had to contact his primary care providers office and have a temporary prescription called in for him until he goes to his next appointment. In the mean time... his blood pressure shot through the roof because his release was done after hours. So when it comes to the appearance and location of the place...it's great. Located right next to the hospital which is assuring. But as far as case management, hospitality and general overall - its extremely disappointing. I will look into other options for the future.
The environment from the employees that work there is horrible. They are RUDE!!!
Staff is the best/the facility is so nice and spotless. The best.
Care and compassion excellence. All heart!
Wonderful experience! Everyone is so attentive and caring.
If I could give them no stars I would. My mother got admitted there on January 21st 2026. Got discharged February 7th 2026. She only got two bed baths while she was there and they only shampooed her hair once. One night no one answered the call light. Her and her roommate didn’t get their diapers changed. The worst part is she had a lot of swelling on her feet and other parts of her body. A nurse said they were going to start her on Lasix. I doubt very seriously they gave it to her if they did they didn’t inform the doctor that it wasn’t working. The PT told her she could walk by herself. She got up on the 7th of February to go to the bathroom. She was opening the door and fell backwards and hit her head on a bench that was outside the door. She went to the hospital and got 5 staples in the back of her head. I brought her home and checked her lungs. Her lungs sounded horrible. She said no one at the nursing home checked her lungs. I could go on and on. She could barely get out of bed to get to the bedside commode. I sent her back to the hospital 3 days after she left the nursing home. They admitted her with chf exacerbation. She stayed there until February 13th. I called the State and they told me they couldn’t find anything wrong. Well they didn’t come talk to my mother. They didn’t take to the roommate that she had. They didn’t talk to the Home Health Nurse that sees her now and seen her 3 days after she got discharged from the Nursing Home. They didn’t talk to the PT they sees her now. She is still considered to be a fall risk. If you have a family member here I would suggest you get a camera in the room to monitor what’s going on.
Absolutely do not recommend. My grandmother was there for physical therapy after she fell and broke her leg. She was there for less than 20 days(16 days actually) and we had been told she no longer qualified for skilled nursing. They claim she could ride a bike, walk, etc. the morning my grandmother was going to be released she fell while trying to get to the restroom, required 5 staples to the back of her head! They still released her to go home, which is good because she can receive better care, more frequent baths. She was so weak over the weekend she can barely get up or walk but they expect us to believe she was riding a bike and walking excellent?!? She literally could barely get up Saturday. She also has excessive fluid on her and has now been readmitted to the hospital due to the excessive fluid she retained while in their care. So was she up and active or laying in a bed?!? She only received 2 bed baths in her 2 weeks there and only had her hair washed ONCE!
My mother is in the rehabilitation center and she really likes everything about the place. I go every morning and I have seen for myself the cleanliness, care, great nurses and staff in action. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing help with a loved one.
