Resident & family reviews

My father was a resident for the last 1yr and 3months of his life. During which time his aides and nurses gave him great care and moments of laughter. Special thanks to Felicia, Kari and Emmanuel who provided him great comfort, and the rest of the staff who helped care for and plan special events at the nursing home providing him moments of happiness. Thank you!

These people are excellent the people ask you if you need anything what they can do for you they are fantastic I love each and every one of them. I love the way they care for different people here the activities the doctors the staff

Stacy is by far one of the most caring and hardworking CNA in the building. She took such great care of my grandmother . I knew she was safe and taken care of when Stacy was her tech. Will forever be thankful for the compassion and care she gave not only my grandmother but our whole family!

My brother Roy rehabbed here for a couple of months. They took very good care of him.

The staff is experienced and very caring. They have a wonderful activity and rehab program.

Oh this is going to be a long one. I want to start off by saying their job is incredibly hard. I in no way could ever do what they do so for that alone I gave them two stars. However I would absolutely not recommend bringing a loved one here. I brought my father for 5 days as a respite through his hospice center with the intention of getting him placed permanently while on hospice. On night four my father called me and begged me not to leave him there. They want residents who are so far gone that they mentally do not understand what's going on around them I'm sure. My father was not lost mentally And it was obvious that it got on their nerves if he asked any questions at all. The only thing he liked about the place was the courtyard they had where you could go out and smoke. He was assessed and deemed a safe smoker so he was allowed to go out and smoke whenever. But every single time he asked for a cigarette they tried to give him a hard time and made him go through hoops to be able to go outside. And that is so minor. The staff was very rude and made it seem like everything was an inconvenience. They were visibly aggravated because I showed up every evening he was there. He just happened to be there on his birthday, They boast that they have this room to have events for the family which I reserved because we were bringing small children and was told it would be no problem. When we all showed up they had stacked Christmas decorations in the room and basically told us just to find a spot in the dining hall. They didn't even apologize. They were never consistent on time with medication. And oh heaven forbid you ask for it. My father was on oxygen to the point of needing a wheelchair I had gotten him into bed while I was there and he had a really bad attack of heartburn and asked for antacid. They repetitively told him no for two straight hours when I finally asked why he couldn't have antacid the male nurse looked at me and said "can he not come up here and ask for the medication himself?" And refused to move from his station. All day there are residents who just wander around aimlessly and are ignored if they ask someone for help. And this isn't even the worst of it. If your loved one is prescribed liquid morphine they will shove that down their throat for any issue at all. My dad was prescribed it for shortness of breath and shortness of breath only but if he asked for pain medication or anxiety medication both of which he also was prescribed They gave him the liquid morphine. To put it into perspective for you he lived with me for 6 weeks prior and used half of his bottle of liquid morphine the entire time living with me, when he came home after 5 days The bottle was gone. Whereas they had not given him any breakthrough anxiety medication at all and only one of his pain medications the whole time he was there. He said it did not matter what his problem was if he asked for some of his medication they made him take the liquid morphine. I truly believe this shortened his lifespan because he had not upped his dose on that liquid morphine the entire 6 weeks but had to more than double it once he came home because of the amount he had taken while he was there, his tolerance formed quicker. When I picked him up the day he left, He was standing outside with all of his belongings in spite of not being able to breathe well because he was so happy I was picking him up. They were having a veterans Day celebration which they wanted him to be a part of and and he didn't even care to stay for the celebration, That is how badly he wanted to get out of there. Seriously if you can, find somewhere else.

I would 100/100 always bring my loved one here the staff is all incredible they always have smiling friendly faces. I always feel so welcomed going in the front door. This place is amazing if you need a place for your loved one definitely recommend this one

From the moment you walk in the door until you leave, the facility treats you like family!! I have never been to a place where you felt so welcome by so many people. They are friendly, professional, reliable, honest and operate with integrity. RCML is the best.
