My mother was moved here by APS at the beginning of Aug 2026. The very first day she had her cellular stolen. She had her checkbook stolen within a week and within 2 weeks her wallet with her ID, social, and everything else personal was stolen. I have spoken to residents of the place, family members of people housed here and to local businesses in the area about their opinions about San Antonio West Nursing Home & without exception all stated poor opinions of the facility. Thanks SA Adult Protective Services. In one month you managed to do what my mother in her entire life was unable to do.…

Thanks SA Adult Protective Services. In one month you managed to do what my mother in her entire life was unable to do. Get her identity stolen. SA West Nursing Home is responsible for the theft but SA APS is responsible for taking her from her home and exposing her to this, the lowest branch of care facilities in San Antonio.

HORRIBLE PLACE. They need to shut this place down
Dirty smelly place
Who cares?
I don't recommend to have a loved one placed in. When my grandma first arrived they were so attentive them after they kept ignoring her. If have to call or show up. The hallways smell like urine , there was a few lady who you can tell loved there job. Mickey, Blanca took care of her very well. My grandma called me Thursday she wasn't feeling well . I called them to.let them know to check on her and if she needed treatment since she is supposed to use oxygen 24/7 instead it was used 8 hours. Then she was taken to the hospital on Saturday and passed on Monday. This place is nothing but neglecting on elderly people. I feel bad for the ones who dont have family and can't speak up.
I'd like to give a shout out to the new administrator Ms. Denise Rios. This lady is a breath of fresh air to the SanAntnio West Facility. It's going to take Alot of doing to bring Facility up to par But I have confidence she is right for the challenge ahead of her. I've already seen some good changes in the building and will see more in the coming days... I really like her attitude of Getting things right. God bless you for coming here And being over our family residents Take care, Gustavo
