My mom was at the Seasons Memorycare at the Nacogdoches facility for two years. I was extremely pleased with the care she received from the caretakers. They were very respectful, caring and very patient with my mom. Caretakers Karla, Paula Teresa and Lazaro were outstanding. They always made sure that my mom's needs were being met with the kindness of care. Now to give credit where credit is due. As the saying goes "a ship doesn't run itself without a good leader." That's where Marlene comes in with her leadership qualities. She always communicated with me when issues arose with my mom. I always felt comfortable asking her anything and knowing that I would always get an honest answer. I couldn't have asked for a better building manager than her. She was always on top of things and always followed through with anything that came up She was very trustworthy. I never worried about my mom knowing that she was in good hands.Thank you Marlene and that staff members that I named.
We moved my mom here after she developed a UTI in another facility, resulting in a hospital stay. She was in pretty rough shape when we moved her in. Marlen and her team have taken great care of her and she is back to her cheerful self. It’s wonderful to see her participating in activities and making new friends. I’m grateful for the careful attention the team is giving her.
My father in law was a resident there a couple years ago. I'd give them a ONE for the money hungry owner but the most of care givers were 5 star.
It is impossible to fully express how grateful I am for the care my father received while he was a resident here. Marlene, her staff, and everyone behind the scenes treated him with kindness, compassion, dignity, and respect throughout the 10 months he was there. Knowing my dad was surrounded by people who genuinely cared gave me tremendous peace during one of the hardest times. I will always be thankful for the patience, kindness, and respect you showed him every single day. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be treated like family, I wholeheartedly recommend Seasons Alzheimer’s Care on Nacogdoches Road. Thank you for everything you did for my dad. I will never forget your kindness and the difference you made in both of our lives.
I’d like to thank the staff at the Season’s on Nacogdoches for the heartfelt care they provided my husband. Although he was only there a few months, they did all they could to make him comfortable and communicated with me on his needs and how to make him feel as good as possible. Communication was a bit difficult as most of the staff spoke Spanish only but we quickly worked out a routine that he was comfortable with and the communication became routine. Marlene was very easy to work with and helped us during our short stay. The staff were there because they wanted to help others and that goes a long way in helping others who are going through difficult transitions. It’s been a few weeks since my husband passed and I am more than pleased with the help they provided us in a very difficult time. Thank you everyone at Season’s!
This is likely one of the hardest decisions you have to make when you need to move a loved one into a memory care. After research and visiting some memory care homes we decided Season's on Nacogodoches would be good as they had a brand new facility being built. We moved mom in shortly after it opened and for the first couple of months things "seemed" good but then it went downhill. There are many daily and nightly things that changed as the atmosphere is more of one that if the residents are in their rooms that's fine leave them there. Do I think the atmosphere is one of care and understanding that these residents are not themselves - No I don't. I had text messages that my mom was doing things they didn't like and somehow I was supposed to stop it. Wait a minute, she's there because she needs help and does things she doesn't know she's doing. Staff changes continually so you can't really get to know who is caring for your loved one along with most of them speak mainly Spanish which for my mom is definitely more than confusing and for us we needed either google translation or hand signals. I wouldn't mind the Spanish if they treated mom lovingly and not like a nuisance. I will say Marlene and Sandra were two bright spots. We did keep mom here for almost 2 years and I really regret not moving her sooner. Others we knew did move their loved ones much sooner. Things along the way that came up I would text or ask about and things would change for like a week and then go back. I asked twice about getting the families who come to visit together so we could have a support system for each other but that was a No and that's a red flag for me because why wouldn't you want that so you can support each other and have them check on your loved one if your out of town. I understand more clearly why that was a No. As I stated in the beginning, this was and is such a hard decision to make and if I could do it over this is not where I would have put my mom. I can't change the decision now but happy to say she's at a new place that we are very happy with and see more love and care for mom.
My husband was only there two weeks before he passed. Everyone was so professional, kind and caring. I could not have been more pleased with my husband’s care. The admission process was seamless. Their communication with me was wonderful. They would often text me, letting me know how he was doing, what he was doing, and how he ate., etc. I highly recommend this facility to those seeking care for their loved one with Alzheimer’s.
I can not say enough about the kind, compassionate care my husband received. Although he was there only a short time before he passed away, he received excellent care the entire time. My sons and I are very thankful for this facility and the care my husband received.
