Stone Oak care center, first getting here was smooth and very inviting, come am. Things got a little shaky, but..... Rosa from administrations was god sent and turned the negative into plus positive. Her smile 1 is everything! Then she made me a comfort meal. Thanks so much for making a frawn upside down.

I couldn't be more satisfied with the care my mother received while she was at Stone Oak. It was under Covid conditions that she was able to be there in the first place, but the staff were caring and interested in making sure my mom had the best care. You can tell when someone really enjoys their job because they do the best they can at it. From the kind lady at the front desk to the nurses, LVN's, and even the gentleman that escorted me to the front after my last visit; all were kind, professional, and even remembered my name. Sadly, my mom passed away but it brings much peace to know she…

In August of 2019, my mother fell and experienced head trauma to include a brain bleed and was transferred to SOCC for rehabilitation. She received excellent care from nursing staff, Physical and occupational Therapy departments and from the admissions office. She has decided to stay at the facility long term because she likes it so well. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable, and willing to assist in all levels of care. The daily attendants who provide the assistance in activities of daily living are well trained and always treat the patient with dignity and respect. Mr. Nixon, director of Nursing has gone above and beyond his duties to assist our family with the transition both physically and mentally. He has been understanding of our concern for mom's general well being. He has made her comfortable and has provided the equipment she needs to thrive in this new capacity. The activity director and her assistant are eager to keep the patients engaged in physical and mental stimulation on a daily basis. If I had to voice any complaint, it might be that the business office is slow to respond to phone calls. I know they have many residents to be accountable for so I try to be understanding of the return call policy of 24-48 hours. Overall, we have been super satisfied with the care and compassion displayed by the folks at Stone Oak Care Center. I would like to applaud them and wish them all a very happy and prosperous year in 2020 Please know that you are appreciated !!

My husband was a patient two different times at Stone Oak Care Center. Both times he was treated with respect and dignity and had excellent care. The second stay was for memory care and end of life. The entire staff of the 5th Hall were wonderful. I visited each day and was encouraged to see the concern and interest in taking care of his comfort and needs. I could not have taken care of him any better at home. It is wonderful to know that your loved one is being taken care of, even though you cannot be there every minute. The McFarland Family

NO - They are short on staff ALWAYS. Short on CNA's, and Med nurses. When I needed an RN there wasn't one available. Rooms are small and never cleaned properly. The Company (Touchstone) that bought it appears to be mainly concerned with profit. The administration has changed repeatedly and staff changes weekly.

No one ever had any idea of what was going on. They were all VERY attentive before my mom arrived there, then afterward it was a different story! They are unorganized and only care about getting your money! Use caution when you send your loved one here!!!

The only place I have visited was Stone Oak, and I moved in here. They have been very caring, take good care of me, and help you get one place to another. The food is not always my particular taste, but it’s nicely served and they have a full dining room. It’s clean.

My mother in law stayed here for a month with my sister in law staying 24/7 with her for 2weeks. Then I came and did same. So we really knew what was happening. My mother in law is diabetic and was placed here short term to help get her slowly off of some medications she had been put on that Dr felt contributed to sudden case of dementia symptoms. With being diabetic her glucose was monitored before meals and even that med was being reduced. Family was informed she was getting diabetic trays and all her desserts were sugar free. That is not the case. After 2 weeks and glucose numbers going higher and higher I began asking around and looking. Be informed there is no diabetic option., No sugar free desserts. Nurses weren't aware, my mother in law's nurse apologized and said he was new, he couldn't believe they didn't have anything for diabetics. After we knew we cut out all desserts and white carbs but not much to eat, brought in some healthier options. It's basically a high carb high sugar diet here. So glad she's out of there! The nurses and CNA's were friendly but overworked as most these type of places are. Would never want a lived one to have to stay in a place like this alone.
