Resident & family reviews

Walking into Teague LTC you feel like it is really a home. The staff and residents make it feel like a true family lives there. All of the staff seem to enjoy their job and it shows by how they treat and take care of the residents.

Strong dedicated leadership that pull together and care for the lovely residents at the facility. You can feel the small town love and dedication by just walking in.

Hard to imagine a comfortable experience in a nursing/rehabilitation facility but for me this was one! Personale and friendly staff across the board, An older home but clean, well organized and managed. Not home but not bad made friends and got along weel with EVERYONE! The physical therapy was well managed and made incremental improvement every day. Food was good and the nurses and aides were all supportive and helpful. The banner out front boasts a 5 star rating and I concur!

My mother-in-law was a resident at this facility for PT. I can't say enough wonderful things about the entire team! She enjoyed her time there and had a great experience.

On 3/6/2025, My mom, my aunt, and me go there to pick up my grandfather that got kicked out for falling 3 times and they never cleaned his room like they said they did. We all know that people lie 24/7 a day and don’t ask for the head nurse because she won’t come and deal with it and she will neglect u. Here’s and pic of the room my grandfather was in and he was laying in food and my mom will leave a review and is going to call state and let them know what’s happened. Also his urinal bag was on the floor and there was pee all over. Then we said that we were miss a foot holder for his wheelchair and some of his clothes and the nurse stood there and laughed.

Please do not let your loved ones go to this place. My aunt Jeannie over street was admitted here and since being admitted her meals have been terrible this her dinner tonight 1/31/2024. First off being served on styrofoam is a violation of state rules it is a dignity issue as well as goes against residents rights, I will be forwarding this picture to state to show the poor service these residents are receiving at this ridiculous place, they need to be shut down!!! If you love your loved ones stay clear of this place as you can see they do not care. My aunt was told if she doesn’t want that then she just won’t have anything for dinner, I guess they don’t have an alternate menu or just don’t care to oblige these elderly with one. It’s a shame anyone’s love one would have to go through this I wish I could give them a double zero rating but one is all that’s available. And please do not respond back with the mediocre statement of “ please contact us we take these things seriously and would like to talk further to get to the bottom of this” it’s obvious your staff doesn’t care and the administrator doesn’t care either otherwise you’re staff would not be comfortable even giving someone something like this for dinner. A halfway cook frozen pot pie and six fried okra.? Has your dietary manager ever heard of a #8 scooper? Or cooking properly or even proper nutrition value in meals?? No worries I will let state know immediately about this neglect and malnutrition and dignity issue!!

The only good thing about this place is the underpaid staff. Prepare yourself, dear reader, as I spin my tail of woe in hopes of steering you away from this place for your loved ones. My sister is special needs; born with an intellectual disability. However she is more than functional enough to work at the Whataburger in Fairfield and take pride in what she does. In 2021 our father and her caretaker passed away from cancer and our mother had died two years prior and her care has fallen to me, her - as shewould call it - baby brother. I gleefully took the mantel of caring for my family. She had a gran mal ceisure in Febuary and lost her mobility. The doctor ordered physical rehab and said we could do it in home. I asked if in patient would be better so she could get round the clock care on her medicaid and medicare and he said yes I recommend it. So I tried for Skilled Care in Mexia and they were full. That leaves me with this half full dungeon struggling for funding (unbeknownst to me). The doctor recommended 30 days inpatient care. At the end of it my sister is worse than when she left the hospital. Her markers are up. She is gaining weight. And physical rehab is not implemented outside of the hour she gets. So she is sitting in a wheel chair all day. She is calling me nightly wanting to come home. At 30 days I will no longer bear it. I go to pick her up. I can teach her to walk again. I did it myself when I broke my neck. For 4 hours I am waiting for discharge papers. Then the head admin calls me in to threaten me with calling adult protective services. I tell him to basically eat my dinner after I digest it and he orders me off property and calls the police. Thank god for Teague city PD. They showed up and enforced my 1st ammendemnt right to tell that clown shoe what I said and then went and got my sister out of that prison. I didnt know it at the time but they were billing close to 20 grand a month for my sister. Be wary.

2018- Mom has been there since January 2017, and has felt at home & very well taken care of so far. Updated 2019- There are a few great staff members there, but not nearly enough. Poor judgment.
