Everyone feels like family here! All of the employees get along so well. They are quality staff giving quality care.
We toured The Cottages At Chandler Creek. We really liked that one. My mom's money comes through the VA but they said they don't accept that so we would end up having to pay for that out of pocket. So, we decided to wait on the VA. But mom likes that place. It is very nice, very well kept, and it gives off good vibes. The caregivers there seemed like they were nice and very helpful. The dining area looks like an open space. It looks like they have dinner and lunch together so that was good interaction with the other people that are in the home. When we got there, it was somebody's birthday.…

When we got there, it was somebody's birthday. They were celebrating and they had somebody come in and do live music. When we left, the staff gave us a calendar and it had different days doing different things. There are a lot of things that they do throughout the week.
We had to find fast placement for my Mom after she eloped from Assisted Living. The Executive Director was so sweet and accommodating. She helped make it happen quickly and even gave us a bed to use so we could move her in. They worked with us and on move-in day she comforted me when I was worried. They are very responsive with any questions and feedback. I loved that so many of the staff had been there for many many years. All the caregivers I saw interact with me Mom treated her with kindness. They have really fantastic events and activities that my Mom loves, especially all the music and…

We liked The Cottages At Chandler Creek, because it feels more like a home and the people were very gracious and very nice. It's a very well-managed and caring community. So, it appealed for those reasons. The staff was very good. Seems like they have a lot of different rooms that were set up like a home. So, they seemed very approachable and comfortable. I felt like the rooms were very accommodating, and the bathroom, too. We liked it, personally. As far as that goes, it was very good.
I would give all categories a 5--great place! I wish we had found it sooner! The staff made us feel welcome immediately. The care and love they showed my husband was exemplary--he was not just a number. He was only there three weeks, but during that time he was happier than he had been for several months. He even got back the twinkle in his eyes.
I've been POA for my mother for the last year and it's overwhelming. Wish I knew then what I know know, from rehabs to ER's, ICU's lawyers, Asst living and so much more. It's very hard to find a good place as there are mostly not so good facilities. And just because you find one does not mean your loved one will be accepted due to physical conditions. The cottages accepted my mother when others that were much more expensive would not. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt because I can't begin to say enough good things about [name removed], she loves what she does and treats all residents like family and beyond, way beyond. She knew every resident by name and is a very loving person, same as most the staff. She's old school and transparent same as her assistant [name removed] and we really liked that. The only disappointment is the food which is so so but other than that we were blessed to find her. She is very transparent and goes the extra mile, Kudos [name removed] and the staff, well done!
My father is now at The Cottages At Chandler Creek. We chose it because it was mainly memory care, and they had a lot of RNs that were on staff that work there. My father needs help with everything and that seemed to be the most suited for him, especially with the memory care. The place itself is nice, very clean, very bright, and open. We like it, and it is very nice. The staff are all good. I sat with my father while he ate. He likes certain things, and they accommodate him. For my whole life, he eats peanut butter and banana sandwich for lunch, so they make that for him. He doesn't have to eat what they serve, and they'll make him what he wants, so I do like that about it. The food is very bland as expected, and he likes bland food, but he's very routine and that's what he wants for lunch, so they do that for him. They have activities, too. My father had a stroke, and he is getting physical therapy there and doing exercise classes. He's already improving. It is very expensive, but it is full-time care. They're not that much more than places that hardly give you any assistance at all.
We chose The Cottages at Chandler Creek for mom because they were superior on all counts. All the other places looked very institutional for their memory care. They might have been nice for people who are not in memory care, but when you saw the memory care facilities, they were very institutional. The Cottages is only memory care, and it is very nice. The staff is nice and kind. The food is great. Her room is great. The general accommodations are great. They have a beautiful garden. All the way around, it is ten stars.
