Resident & family reviews

The memory care unit was great when we first put our Aunt in the facility. Over time the food quality really went downhill and the service team is amazing but they are stretched thin. This place is under staffed and it is beginning to impact the quality of care and upkeep of the facility.

Touchmark is such a nice facility, from the valet staff to the welcome desk to all of the staff. I've been a visitor here several times and always impressed with how friendly everyone is including the residents! They have a wide variety of fun activities for the residents as well. Highly recommend!

I really enjoy living at the Touchmark at Georgetown. The entire staff is awesome. There are a myriad of activities for all interests and tastes. I especially enjoy the fitness classes held 5 days a week. This is a great place to spend the “golden” years.

This review is about The TouchMark, previously known as The Hacienda at Georgetown. This review is made to help other families of Seniors requiring any assistance or extra care & checking in with. We thought after we toured this facility & listened to the "Saleslady" it would be a great place for Mom, who initially was somewhat independent but needed someone to touch basis with her at least 3 times throughout the day because she had some memory loss issues. She lost her phone & apartment keys almost weekly, her purse a couple of times a month, so the promised check ins 3 times daily was certainly a good benefit. My husband & I did everything we could think of to have her lost belongings returned quickly. We put her name, apartment number & our phone number on her phone cover & keys too. That helped having them to be returned to the front desk quickly. I also spoke with several staff members regarding checking in on her, especially if she missed a meal time. Everyone said of course. I never thought one morning I'd come to pick my Mother up for our weekly all day Sunday, that she would have fallen the day before, calling for Help, after she went to breakfast, with noone coming to check on why she wasn't coming to dining room for meals. I knocked on her apartment door & heard, Help, help! I came in & found her laying against the sofa, she had obviously urinated herself several times & was in pain. Long story short, EMS was called, trip to nearest ER hospital until she was released to us. We did not feel taking her back to TouchMark was safe anymore without Caregivers with her, so we brought her home with us for a week until we were able to find real Caregivers that could watch over her until we found a safer environment to live, where she'd be safe. She now lives at Tiffin House & they are truly an amazing group of people. I spoke with the TouchMark Administrator, who promptly told me I didn't give them a 30 day notice to move my Mother out & that they will be charging me for the lack of notice. I couldn't believe my ears. My 93 year old Mother fell & now has a compression fracture on her spine, on their watch, adding to insult to injury, they changed me over $5000. for not giving a 30 day move out notice. (How can you give a 30 day notice when you weren't planning to move out until it was no longer safe & they proved to be untrustworthy.)

I’ve had the pleasure of performing here, and the team truly creates a warm, welcoming, and high-quality experience for residents. Cheyenne takes exceptional care in designing creative, thoughtful, and engaging events, always bringing a high level of detail and intention to everything she plans. Every staff member I’ve worked with has been gracious, organized, and a true joy to collaborate with. The residents are incredibly kind and appreciative—it’s always such a pleasure getting to know them more with each visit. It’s truly a wonderful community, and I’m always grateful to be part of their events.

March 2026 My mother-in-law moved into Assisted Living at The Hacienda, now Touchmark, around two years ago. We moved her to memory care April of 2025. The move impressed me because they did it so that it didn't disturb the residents that are already living there. For a year, the staff in memory care became more than just friends, they became family. One of the amazing Med Techs, Rose, and I shared the same last name. I teased her and said we were probably related because our last names weren't very popular. March 2026, I had a close family member pass way unexpectedly. Like all funerals, you see family members you hadn't seen since childhood. I saw one of my cousins I grew up with and we started catching up. It turns out, Rose and I are related, we are second cousins! I grew up with her dad. Now I can see my new-to-me cousin any time I want. The staff in memory care, and assisted living, loved and cared for my mom like she was theirs. I loved how they advocated for my sweet mother-in-law's health. We are forever grateful. Randi, you have an amazing staff.

My husband and I moved in almost 3 years ago. We are so impressed with the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, wonderful food, and outstanding neighbors. However, we didn't realize what a truly wonderful place in which we live until the last ice storm. Some members of the staff spent 24 hours a day here providing nursing care, housekeeping, and good meals. We were well cared for and lacked for nothing.

Touchmark at Georgetown has been exceptionally helpful to our family. Mom transitioned from assisted living to memory care over the last year, and I have been amazed how great the staff is here. I have witnessed caregivers going above and beyond expectations many times while visiting, as well as on security camera footage. They have shown genuine concern for my mom and treat her with a loving respect. I think most places will be respectful. The memory care staff at Touchmark go beyond that and comfort by mom, act as a sounding board for her, engage in lengthy conversations, and show patience and kindness toward my mom. They provide her with dignity and as much autonomy as is safe for her. If you have a loved one who needs memory care, I cannot recommend Touchmark at Georgetown highly enough. Their prices may seem high at first, but they don't hit you with "other costs" - you know the total amount you are paying up front. And that cost includes full service. My mom has high needs, and we pay for additional services. It's so worth it. Before getting to Touchmark, my mom would sit alone in her apartment, sometimes staying in bed all day. Here she is greeted cheerily in the morning and invited to breakfast. Most days my mom - who used to sit in bed all day - doesn't return to her room until 2 or 3pm. She is kept busy, engaged in activities or a meal until well after lunch. Later, she will leave her room for dinner around 5pm and doesn't return until 7 or 8pm - again, because she is engaged and interacting with other people. This social interaction is essential for my mom's well-being. Go talk to the memory care staff. Speak with the memory care director Randi Meachum about your loved one's needs. They don't try to "sell you" - they genuinely want to understand your family member's needs and are willing to work with the family to find the best solution. They are willing to address any issues or complaints without being defensive, and approach from a problem-solving perspective. I am convinced my mom could not get better service at any price. At least once a week, I remark to my wife or brother how grateful I am for the staff at Touchmark at Georgetown. Knowing my mom is in good hands and not only getting her needs met, but actually getting social interaction and thriving has provided a tremendous amount of relief for me and my family. Thank you Touchmark!! (update) I forgot to add that the facility is beautiful! There is no "institution vibe" at all. The grounds are pretty and inviting, residents have a gorgeous landscaped patio outside, the furniture is new and well-maintained, even the carpet is nice.
