Facility is clean, the employees are pleasant in passing, receptionist are friendly, and accommodating. The nurses are acceptionally knowledgeable, eager to help and explain procedures, protocols, and answer and demonstrate what is going on with your love one. I speak as one who has other facilities to compare, I have been care giving for 11 years.
From the moment I arrived at Height Valley Ranch, I could tell this was more than just a facility—it was a place where people genuinely care. You can tell when people are simply doing a job versus when they truly care about the people they serve, and at Height Valley Ranch, that difference was noticeable. The facility itself was beautiful, comfortable, and well-maintained. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered to create an environment where residents, families, and visitors can feel comfortable and valued. I was especially impressed by the teamwork and professionalism of the staff. It is evident that creating a positive experience isn’t just a goal—it is part of who they are. **Height Valley Ranch deserves recognition for creating an environment where compassion meets excellence. In a world where exceptional customer service can sometimes be hard to find, this facility reminded me that there are still places where people genuinely make a difference. If you’re looking for a place where **care, respect, professionalism, and hospitality come together**, Height Valley Ranch is definitely worth recognizing. I would gladly recommend them to others and would not hesitate to return.
Impressed with the clean spacious environment. Staff was courteous and helpful
The Heights on Valley Ranch is an incredible place for my 90+ year old parents. Every staff member is kind, compassionate, helpful, respectful, and knowledgable. It’s always clean and smells good. Their info states that their purpose is to glorify God, and they do that each day. The Heights has given me peace of mind knowing that my parents are being well taken care of, and I am so thankful! Staff is very friendly, helpful and informative. Beautiful facility and clean! Relative is in for rehabilitation and it's down the street from our house, so location can't be beat.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and they had smiles on their faces.
My 80-yr old mother was there for 2 weeks after having an extensive hernia surgery which required a portion of her stomach to be removed. She is frail to start with and has severe osteoporosis. The facility was clean. Mom had a nice roommate upon her arrival by medical transport. Her requirements were liquid diet and for reasons I do not understand the facility could not accommodate. First we were told they needed that directive from her surgeon, and when he provided it they still couldn't bring her food to eat. Hamburgers, oatmeal, eggs, and sandwiches are not liquid so we had to bring her protein shakes, Ensure, and broth to make sure she was eating correctly after stomach surgery. She liked her PT therapist up until she got so dehydrated she couldn't get out of bed. She then became mentally confused and was babbling nonsense and the facility never recognized or identified this; it was people who called her and visited her who knew she was not in her right mind. At first we feared she had a stroke, then we suspected UTI, but after sitting with her for 8 hours and forcing her to drink Gatorade she became lucid again. The facility doesn't have a doctor on staff, instead a nurse practitioner who never stopped by when we feared she had a stroke --it was a nurse who evaluated her. At one point the facility administrator, Marilyn Booker was called to voice our concerns after lab and urine results were never provided. She was extremely helpful and concerned, but by the time she intervened Mom's cognitive skills were back to normal. The OT she was given never addressed her showering and dressing. It was her last day (two weeks later) when she was feeling stronger that Mom showered. This was my family's first experience with rehab and we were not impressed.
While the day staff is.. ok, the evening is not very attentive and excuses are made for their lacking. Additionally, please not if your loved one has specific dietary needs due to surgery they wont make any active attempts to ensure they are followed. They will constantly try and serve foods the person had orders NOT to eat even after you spend extra $$ on food for ur person. Mind you they dont tell you, or the hospital social worker in advance they cant/ wont meet the needs. Also mind you when your elderly loved one is clearly off for some reason they do the bare minimum to find the reason. Additionally they will allow a patient to go home who is clearly in additional medical needs, without telling the family. I cant give a good review when they allowed my mother n law to dehydrate after a week, and never ensured she was fully taking care of herself. Ask alot of questions to find out if all the needs can and will be met b/c chances are they wont be. BUT they sure get that Medicare $$.
