Resident & family reviews

Lovely small Senior community in the heart of Georgetown.

Horrible place, they don’t take care of their residents. The residents are always falling, they have ants everywhere. Most of their employees are always sleeping. This place is very neglectful, not so loving. Very much money hungry, and the administrator gossips a lot. Please don’t place your family members here, they will end up falling and going to rehab. Also, most of the people that Mitual brings in are not stand by assistant. They need help, that should only be given at a nursing home. They are so money hungry they will let a total dependent person live here. Bad place!

Do not trust your love ones in this place . All they care about is the money . One nurses neglect send my Father to ICU . They had to call 911 for my Father. Not once did they call to check on my dad . They called the 2nd day to let me know that they could hold his room but it would cost over $200.00 a day . And they are going to have the nerve to tell me they followed protocol. I asked how do you know ? Where you in the room ? Was there anybody else besides that nurse and my Father . We choose to believe our dad . Go ahead and continue to support your nurse . My Father is still in the…

Weslayan you all know exactly who I am . I hate that I had to choose 1 star to post . They don't deserve one . I will say there was a couple of amazing nurses . To bad they could not be there 24 hours .

I have to be honest because most people won’t leave a review. Since you’re looking for honest reviews, I’m here to help. The Wesleyan is not the same Christian based community from years ago that I once loved. Unfortunately, after the CEO passed away, everything changed. I witnessed how things were handled during the pandemic. Very poor decisions were made. Many unhappy families, residents and staff way before that. Luckily they fired the administrator at the time. Do your research. Go to various communities and witness for yourself. Have lunch, follow your instincts for the best fit for your loved one. Best of luck. I truly love our senior population! They deserve dignity and optimum quality of life.

My mom is at The Wesleyan at Estrella Assisted Living and Memory Care. We like the place. They have a lot of activities. They support my mother well. The only caveat is that your parent has to be able to ask for what they need. I like most of the people that are working there. They have a salon and a workout room. They do movies. There are church services on Wednesdays. On Sundays, they bring in entertainment at least twice a month. They have lunches that they can take out in the community. They take them on a shopping trip. They have big rooms. There are several different layouts. You could have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, or one bedroom or a studio. They have several courtyards and places to sit outside.

After 3 weeks of my loved one being in here, they were really trying to push memory care on us. They were saying that she could not do certain things and I would go to visit and sure enough she could do those things. We did not think that she was ready for memory care which was the reason why we moved her out of here.

I had a very positive impression of The Wesleyan at Estrella Assisted Living and Memory Care. They have a large room for the memory care which is called 'Laura Hall'. Instead of having the word 'memory' in there, you have "Laura Hall". They have a large room where they have tables for activities like puzzles. There's an aquarium and on the other side were the tables are for meals. The rooms were off of that, so they were not down the hall. They actually almost surrounded the main area, so I kind of like that idea. My aunt doesn't have to go down a long hall to get to the dining room. They also have a lower resident to worker ratio and among all the facilities I called. They're the only one that had an availability, so we could take my aunt in. I was there at the time when they were serving meals, and they looked very appetizing. The lady that helped me was the RN and the director of nursing. She seems very nice and friendly. Her father is a resident of the assisted living area, and that's a positive thing that she has her own father there. She thinks well enough of them to do that. She was very helpful, nice, and seemed to know several of the residents (so that's a good thing). They do have a small courtyard off of the 'Laura Hall' where they have nice, big, sturdy chairs. It's very level area out there. They have a white board that has some activities that they listed on it.

The Wesleyan in Georgetown was a nice facility. The rooms were small though. There were a lot of amenities, but my husband is a little bit concerned about the layout because my sister-in-law might get lost or be overwhelmed by it. It's very clean, and they have quite a few amenities and activities there.
