We want to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at The Woodlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Clinic. My father arrived in a very fragile state following the amputation of the toes on his left foot. On his second day, the key staff members sat down with us and asked what our goals were for him. Our answer was modest: we simply hoped he would be able to transfer from his wheelchair or walker to a chair or toilet. Those expectations were not just met, they were far exceeded. Within a month he was using his walker and wheelchair to move around the house. This is the most caring, helpful, and…

Our answer was modest: we simply hoped he would be able to transfer from his wheelchair or walker to a chair or toilet. Those expectations were not just met, they were far exceeded. Within a month he was using his walker and wheelchair to move around the house. This is the most caring, helpful, and professional group of people we have encountered at a rehabilitation clinic. My father had been at another facility previously, and it did not come anywhere close. A few people deserve to be named for how much they contributed to his recovery: Jeanie, Vicki, Pius, and Kristine. We would also like to highlight the excellent work of Nurse Martha. Thank you all.
I was in the physical REHAB side of the facility for a few weeks. This is a non profit facility and was very much better than I expected. I was placed for skilled nursing/rehab by the VA to receive physical therapy/rehab following an intensive Neuro/spine surgery. The place is clean, did not have any unpleasant odors and the care was superb. The staff was very attentive to my needs and responsive immediately when I needed help no matter what time of the day or night it was. Very kind, patient and respectful staff members. Physical therapists, JEANIE and PIUS were very patient and encouraging as struggled to regain my strength and ability to walk , bend, etc again. The techs, assistants, nursing, etc were all awesome. If I need skilled nursing/rehab care again in the future , I would want the return to this facility.
The nursing team is truly exceptional. They are attentive, caring, and always quick to respond whenever I needed assistance. They consistently checked on me, made sure I was comfortable, and took the time to explain everything with patience and professionalism. It was obvious that they truly care about the well-being of their patients. The entire facility is kept remarkably clean and well-maintained. We thought the psychical therapy was great! My mom really enjoyed the therapists and they really were so sweet to her and helped her make improvements! 🏆
This has been a great place and I’m so glad that the therapists (Angie, Vicki,Ed, Kristine, Jeanie, Joel) made me feel comfortable and corrected me. They were patient and understanding and a recommend this place. I have felt I have come a long way.
This review is for the Rehab pt Team only. My experience with the Rehab team was above and beyond priceless. Vickie was there each day to instruct me, guide me, and encourage me of each step I took to recover from my hip surgery. Vickie and Jeanie worked together as a strong team They made recovery an essential and fun experience going above and beyond to make sure I understood my goals and how to achieve them to recovery quickly . Their professionalism towards me was top notch. They are an asset to your company and should be rewarded. Thank you Vickie and Jeanie. Donna
My mother was referred to this facility following surgery, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply concerning and fell far below acceptable standards of care. Due to the issues described below, we made the decision to discharge her within 12 hours of admission. Following surgery, my mother was unable to walk unassisted. Despite this, she was provided only with a wheelchair—no walker or bedside commode was made available. She was instructed to use the call button for assistance when needed. At one point, she pressed the call button more than 13 times over a 10–15 minute period because she urgently needed to use the restroom, yet no staff responded. As a result, she felt she had no choice but to attempt getting out of bed on her own, which was extremely unsafe given her condition. After reaching the bathroom, she was still unable to transfer from the wheelchair without help. When she called out for assistance, a staff member eventually entered but responded in a dismissive and unprofessional manner, telling her to “have patience” and stating that she was not the only patient. The staff member also indicated they did not have proper instructions for assisting her and asked my mother to explain what she needed. Additionally, basic safety measures—such as applying the wheelchair brakes—were not taken. Later that night, my mother again needed assistance and repeatedly used the call button, but no one came. She had not been provided with her prescribed pain medication, which made it even more difficult for her to move safely. Ultimately, she was unable to get help in time and experienced the distressing and embarrassing situation of soiling the bed. When staff finally responded, the bedding was changed; however, the soiled linens were left in the room on a nearby couch for an extended period, including when I arrived to discharge her. This experience caused my mother significant physical pain and emotional distress. Based on the lack of responsiveness, inadequate support, and unprofessional conduct we encountered, I cannot recommend this facility!
The rehabilitation team was awesome. They gave me the motivation to complete the therapy. I appreciate Jeanne, Pios and Kelsey. If I need rehab again I will choose The Woodlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Generally the nursing staff was kind and caring. Thanks y'all!
