Shout out to all the wonderful people at Truewood. One of the hardest things in life, I believe, is watching parents grow older and lose their independence. In searching for a care facility for my 92 yr old mom, I had 3 places on my list. After checking the first two, I drove by Truewood and decided to go in and take a look. Not having an appointment, I didn't expect much in the way of help, but immediately Caitlin was generous enough to give me a tour and answer any questions I had. We even sat and talked about my mom's needs and situation. I was very pleased with all that Caitlin told me.…

We even sat and talked about my mom's needs and situation. I was very pleased with all that Caitlin told me. My brother and I decided on Truewood. In the following days Caitlin was there every step of the way...answering our MANY questions, guiding our steps and encouraging us till the end. She also gives the greatest hugs! My brother and I have been very pleased with all the great help and care Mom is getting. Praying Mom will have joy for many days to come.
The caregivers in the memory care were so wonderful to my mom during the last months of her life. They were compassionate and caring. Recommending them for anyone’s family member
The amount of care and love every employee has is incredible.
This place is very homey when we walked in and the food was delicious. I highly recommend!
Staff is very friendly, gets to know you and your family quickly, and makes you instantly feel welcome and comfortable. Food is great. They have an excellent chef. My mom is a picky eater, and every day she's excited to go eat the gourmet food. Exercise and activities are always scheduled and they encourage and include everyone. They listen to you and react quickly. We were having a minor problem with the cooling in the room and asked if maintenance could come by and check it out. Within 1 hour, maintenance was there and completely replaced the entire air conditioning unit (which was well above our expectations and what was likely actually required). But it clearly showed they listen and care. The place is well maintained and kept up. We were very impressed with the cleanliness.
Everyone that works there is very polite and helpful. [name removed]the med director is fabulous. I wish they had one level of care in memory care. It has gotten quite expensive for the services provided. There are very few activities for those that can still engage!
Direct employees with low turnover. Highly recommend Truewood by Merrill Georgetown.
Truewood is a wonderful community that feels like home. The staff are all very friendly and the food is great. This facility seems secure and caring of their residents, and I would feel safe leaving my relative in their care.
