3.7 · 23 reviewsMy husband had extremely serious dementia--the Ultimate Care Home on Ridgewood provided the care he needed--he was treated with kindness and respect. [name removed], the owner of Ultimate Care, was so helpful and had so much information about dementia. Also, my husband was able to get hospice care at the home when his disease progressed to the terminal stage.
If you have a loved one needing lots of care keep looking. If you value a clean house look elsewhere. Do visit on a Sunday unannounced. The weekend staff is lazy. My loved one declined after one week there. We moved her as soon as we could. This is partly the fault of a place for mom. This place wasn't properly vetted.
I am currently a resident at this home. I have been here going on 2 years. My relatives searched many locations then settled this place. Food is consistently excellent. Our lead caregivers is superb. She has a brilliant personality offering excellent personal care. Our lead carer is a superb cook. I look forward to each of her meals. Our night carers provide great care as well. I am fortunate to be here. The managers are on the spot with attention to our wellbeing at every turn. They are not just managers but have become family. They refer to me as a grandfather. I am currently a resident at this home. I have been here going on 2 years. My relatives searched many locations then settled this place. Food is consistently excellent. Our lead caregivers is superb. She has a brilliant personality offering excellent personal care. Our lead carer is a superb cook. I look forward to each of her meals. Our night carers provide great care as well. I am fortunate to be here. The managers are on the spot with attention to our wellbeing at every turn. They are not just managers but have become family. They refer to me as a grandfather. Excellent daily care, excellent cooking and caregiving make this an excellent choice.

Hi. We were led to believe that they would be getting my father-in-law out of bed and into the main room to watch TV. Instead, since he almost fell the first time, he spent all day in bed. They did give him a TV for his room however.
Amazing Facility great staff, great service. My family was taken care of very well. Staff was Caring and management was great. Facility was always clean and accessible. I will continue to refer this faculty to family and friends when needed
The Team provided excellent care for my Father. Gods Servants indeed.The facility was maintained well and sanitized throughout the day. They had a nutritious menu however, they accomodated a vegan plan due to his dietary restrictions.They did their best keeping his spirits at best to his last day and were very compassionate towards his disability. They kept me informed with his incline as requested and most of all, they took the time to sit with me and offer kindness. Places like these are far and few. Let me say that I am a nurse and was really fooled when I first looked at this small personal care home in a residential area. I think that the stress of trying to find an affordable place for my mom within striking distance of my house, coupled with a friendly employee, gave me hope that I was making a good decision. Within 24 hours l knew I had to find another place. Once I removed my mother, I called A Place for Mom and warned them that the quality of care was dangerous and staff could not follow simple instructions regarding taking blood pressure before giving meds and other things. I spent the night there to be sure my mom remained safe until I was able to move her. I TOLD your organization in a telephone call that this place should NOT be recommended until being audited properly. I even went online and posted what kind of our care my mom received and warned others to exercise caution. Food was substandard, dry rice crispy cereal put in a blender with milk and called breakfast?? There were no activities for the other 2 residents who sat in the recliner all day and watched TV. Meals were simple, like a plain sandwich and chips. I actually observed the care given to another patient and was distressed to watch him be offered liquids to drink while lying flat in his back when the HOB could have been elevated...My mom went to a great place after this in part due to the hello of the hospice nurse who guided me to another place nearby that was HEAVEN compared to the other
We toured Assisted Living and Memory Care - Ultimate Care by God's Servants to look at assisted living for my mom. The place was nice and clean, but it was just very dark. The colors and the walls are dark, so it almost gives a little bit of a depressed feeling. There are only 6 residents there and the majority of them are either bedridden or in wheelchairs. My mom is neither. She's mobile, and she's up and about so that just wasn't for her. The staff was very nice during our tour.
