Village Green has provided exceptional care for my mother, Geneva, during her respite stay and now throughout her permanent residency. Village Green has provided exceptional care for my mother, Geneva, during her respite stay and now throughout her permanent residency. From the beginning, the staff created a strong sense of stability, professionalism, and compassion, which reassured our family during a very emotional and vulnerable time. They consistently made an effort to connect with me to ensure my mother’s care remained the top priority, always treating her with genuine kindness and respect. The facility fosters a warm, homelike environment where both residents and families feel welcome. Holidays and events are thoughtfully planned and reflect the love and dedication the staff brings to their work. Celebrations such as Thanksgiving dinners and Fourth of July gatherings create meaningful opportunities for families to come together, while fun events like luaus, musical performances, and themed holiday visits bring joy to residents. The team also goes above and beyond to make residents feel valued and included. In my mother’s case, they have supported her background in healthcare by allowing her to participate in staff meetings, helping her feel like an important part of the community. Overall, VG stands out as a facility that combines professional excellence with genuine compassion for families and their loved ones.

Mel Woods gave us a tour of the Village Green Memory Care McKinney this morning and this is an incredibly beautiful community with a lot of family warmth. The staff really cares about their residents. A great place for you or your loved ones to be cared for with empathy and grace.

Village Green McKinney truly leads with heart. Amber Porter sets the tone as Executive Director with her compassion and genuine dedication to the residents and families. The team is engaged, attentive, and authentically connected with the residents. It’s a warm, welcoming community where resident-centered care is clearly a priority.

Village Green Memory Care in McKinney is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the intention, compassion, and pride behind the care being provided. The entire community operates with a level of heart and professionalism that immediately puts families at ease. Executive Director Amber is an absolute standout. Her leadership is hands-on, authentic, and deeply resident-centered. She knows her residents, supports her staff, and leads with both excellence and empathy — which shows in every corner of the building. You can tell this isn’t just a job for her; it’s a calling. The staff at Village Green are nothing short of amazing. They treat residents with dignity, patience, and genuine kindness, meeting each person exactly where they are. Communication is thoughtful, care is intentional, and the environment feels safe, warm, and truly like home. If you’re looking for memory care where your loved one will be seen, known, and loved, Village Green Memory Care in McKinney is an exceptional choice.

I’ve been working with Village Green for a while now as a hospice liaison and as someone who sees a lot of facilities this is easily one of my favorites. Not only is it a beautiful building, the staff here is incredible. From Amber, the Executive Director, to every nurse and aide in the building,. They are always warm and welcoming, and they take such good, compassionate care of their residents. Their attention detail shows how much they truly care about people. Another thing is that the staff seems happy, which is definitely not always the case at these places, believe me. If had to put my parents in a memory care it would be Village Green, no question. Thanks Village Green for all you do!

They have mold throughout the building in restrooms also in suites. They also have mold problems in the attic. Management and owners aware but don't fix problems just cover with bandaides. Horror care place for your loved ones!

Village Green has been such a blessing, my mom has been in their care for over a year. The quality of care and their personal connections to her has been amazing. They truly care about her well being. Amber is professional and so caring, she’s the best.

It’s great until your loved one declines and can no longer take care of themselves at all. Then it’s not great. Our loved one frequently had accidents in his bed and soiled his bed , before he was put in diapers . There was no urgency to get him into a hospital bed , the director mentioning he’d be more comfortable in his own bed . However his bed was very soiled and full of urine . Not his fault of course . When a new hospital bed came , the new director mentioned his old bed would need to stay in his room until it could be removed permanently . The director even mentioned it sure does stink! It was so heavy full of urine and feces. The man that he was before dementia would have died with that mattress in his room! It’s called dignity . When our loved one declined further and hospice was called , and he was near death with signs of near death ( he died that same night ) , the nurse mentioned that she needs to turn him to the other side so he doesnt get bed sores . She said he really hates it as I know he’s in a lot of pain when I do this . So leave him alone he’s dying ! They are great until there is a big decline . You HAVE to be present and luckily there was an army of us that were present to be sure he was taken care of . They mean well, but you have to check on your loved one .
