Lupe was amazing during the process to get my dad admitted. She really took her time to make sure we had everything in order and quickly to be prepared for when my dad was discharged from the hospital. When we arrived the team was super friendly and felt very attentive. We have visited a few times since his arrival and the team knew exactly who we were coming to visit updating us on adjustment so far. I even got a text from Lupe mentioning that saw my dad on a Sunday and said he doing well. Choosing a facility is never easier, but having a place that still sees their residents as people made…

The memory care unit at this facility appears to be significantly understaffed, making it difficult to provide the level of 24/7 care that is advertised. When our loved one first arrived, the care and attention seemed excellent. However, after a few months, the quality of care declined noticeably. At admission, our loved one was able to walk, feed herself, and manage basic hygiene. Within approximately three months, her condition deteriorated rapidly. She spent most of her time in bed and struggled to walk or even lift her head. Although she required assistance with meals, we frequently found untouched food trays left in her room. Additionally, she was often left in the same clothing for multiple days and experienced recurrent urinary tract infections. Once we were able to transfer her to another facility, her condition improved dramatically. She regained the ability to walk and resumed managing her basic hygiene needs—an outcome that felt nothing short of remarkable. When we raised concerns and ultimately decided to move our loved one, the facility’s director attributed responsibility elsewhere rather than addressing the issues. We were informed that one nurse was responsible for as many as 15 patients due to staffing shortages. Unfortunately, instead of resolving these shortages, it appeared that operations continued without sufficient personnel to meet residents’ needs. We want to emphasize that we do not place blame on the staff members themselves. They appeared to be doing their best under extremely challenging circumstances with limited support. The memory care unit environment was also highly restrictive. Residents were rarely able to go outdoors unless accompanied by family, and participation in activities seemed limited to within a locked hallway. The individuals in this unit are kind, deserving people, and it is deeply concerning to see them receive what feels like inadequate attention and engagement. Overall, our experience raises serious concerns about staffing levels, quality of care, and the overall well-being of residents in the memory care unit.
My sister spent the end of her life there, the nursing staff were top notch! They made the final days of her life so easy for her and she went with respect!
It’s not easy being so far away and having your mom in a facility. But hands down everyone on the Whisperwood team makes it easier to have peace of mind knowing my mom has the best care! Keri, Anika, the SW and the nurses and staff who give my mom the best care and understanding it’s not just for my mom but the care extends to our whole family. Keri is a super star administrator!!! She never complains about my late day messages just to check in. I am a hour ahead in time and I try not to disrupt her after hours but she always replies and always is such a comforting soul. My family is forever grateful for Whisperwood!!! From 1 healthcare worker to another….you guys are the definition of compassion!
absolutely all the staff are so nice and welcoming. They all took extra care and time for me. From Administration, to therapy , to Activities, to Nursing day and night shift, to Kitchen staff, to Janitorial staff, and every single one I met! I grew close to them and even a lot of the residents I had such a heart for. It was a blessing to be there! If I needed anything they didn’t hesitate to give it to me. I had several staff pray for me too! I was highly impressed with everything and everyone! My family and I were very happy I got such good care and feel how caring they all were! Thank you Whisperwood for everything!
The staff here is incredibly caring, attentive, and compassionate. The facility is clean and welcoming, and residents are treated with dignity and respect. We are so grateful for the excellent care and peace of mind this nursing home provides. Highly recommend.
Great place 10 out of 10 highly recommend! Great marketer and a wonderful Administrator love them all.
We are very pleased with my mom’s care. The staff is friendly and always in contact with the family. They make sure the residents are comfortable and their needs are being met. The staff is always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
