Nope. No. Don’t send your loved ones here. That’s all I have to say.
No hot water in the skilled nursing area for a week with no idea of when it will be fixed means no baths for residents. How is that okay?!?! Less than clean facility (carpet is horrible, peeling wallpaper, smell of mold). No concern at all for the health of the residents overall. Less than skilled staff. Rude administrators. The pictures on the webpage are NOT the actual facility. Looking for somewhere else for my loved one because this place is not at all what it initially appears.
I would not recommend this place for anyone. Most of the staff, not all, is rude for no reason, not very attentive and always act bothered. All the patients look miserable. I hear the food is ok but not worth the stay.
June 2019 - DO NOT get admitted here because you WILL not be happy nor will your family members who visit. I am a Vietnam Veteran. The nurses steal your personal belongings. I had 2 cell phones stolen, 1 brand new phone charger for my 3rd cell phone stolen, clothes, my food my family brought to me and the food I purchased at Walmart. My brand new king size pillow was taken to put under my deceased roommates head that I just got. They made me leave my bed for over 6 hours and when I came back my pillow was gone. It took me 3 weeks to find out what happened to it. At least that is what they told me happened to it. Watch out for this nurse named ERICKA (description black female) made a Supervisor even after the ADMIN Frances TOLD THE DIRECTOR OF NURSES there not to!!!!! Ericka was (only a contract nurse) was condescending to my daughter several times because she asked her to check my blood sugar when she brought me back after being out with her all day. Her answer was it's not in the Dr's orders to check his sugar at night time or administer him any insulin. She told my daughter to call and talk to the Doctor to get it changed. She will talk down to her in front of the nurses she was training, roll her eyes at her, and walk away while my daughter was talking to her. They all communicate with each other behind the nurse's station, whisper, ignore you and your family when standing there waiting to talk to your own nurse, stand down at the end of hallways to gossip, be on their cell phones AND ERICKA decided on her own NOT to be my nurse by walking away. Watch out for FRANCES, she is very sweet but does not really tell you the truth. Your bill IS NEVER EVER ACCURATE with WRRC! They say I owe them money based on my Texas Health and Human Services Medicaid statement that has NEVER BEEN ACCURATE, never ONCE! And WRRC never credits your bill with them. This facility is a RIPOFF! The hallways SMELL OF FECES every evening. The night shift nurses ARE THE WORST!!!!!!!!!! Forget trying to talk with ANYONE at their Corp office. Frances will lie to you and tell you she will have them call you. My daughter asked over and over for my account ledger for several weeks to figure out why they kept saying I owed them money. I was on Medicaid. Its a SCAM COMPANY SO STAY AWAY! My daughter took me home to live with her and I cannot be HAPPIER! Now they are mailing her bills over $4000 for my dentures that is to be paid by WRRC to the dental company that Medicaid pays. The lady Stacey at Mobile Dynamic Dental told me they were FREE and that I did not have to pay for them. They tricked me to sign by telling me this and did not contact my daughter who is my POA. They said I was my own Rep so I could sign when she tried telling them they did wrong. Even the Benefits Coordinator for me told me WRRC was not a good place to be in!
The people who are saying this place is great must be getting paid. This place is absolutely horrible. If I could give it no stars, I would. My mom was admitted for rehab after hip surgery, and aside from the initial intake and evaluation, she's been all but ignored. Thank goodness I only live ten minutes away. The number of staff members who actually care can be counted on one hand. Her regular medications have been screwed up since the beginning, she has yet to receive any food she's requested, and she's been left sitting on the toilet for over 30 minutes on more than one occasion. While this is a brand new experience for her, and we understand fully that she is not the only patient in the facility, the almost complete lack of attention is absolutely unacceptable, not just for my mom, for anyone whose loved one is stuck in this horrible place. I will be having her moved to another facility as soon as I can. Dismal doesn't even begin to describe this place.
I came to this facility in Sept 2018 after meeting the administrator. I was unable to walk, unable to move my left arm and unable to move legs without assistance. Now, I'm able to move my left arm a little bit, I am able to move legs, and transfer to wheelchair with minimal assistance. My biggest accomplishment as of today is walking 68 feet. I have the best therapist and CNA's that work with me daily.
This is a facility that truly cares for the resident and their family. When you enter the facility the staff meet you with a smile. The staff care for the resident with "heart". Giving quality, timely and efficient care is a priority of administration and the corporation. Their standards are high and this is seen in the many positive changes at the facility. The family atmosphere is readily observed. The facility is committed to the resident, staff and the community.
So far, I have had a great experience dealing with the staff here at Willowbrook. My mother in law is being well taken care of. The staff has been so kind and helpful. Nothing is perfect but I am very pleased with the environment and the kindness. Its relaxed and simple. I have no issues and would highly recommend giving Willowbrook an opportunity to care for your loved one.
