Don’t send your loved one to this place. You will regret it. I PROMISE YOU!!!! This place is more concerned about how quickly they can get out the door for the next shift. They hardly follow up with their patients. Night check team is an absolute nightmare. My wife was left throwing up in a room and ignored. She was admitted to the hospital after their failure to provide proper basic care. They are jr varsity team and need a major overhaul haul. Who ever read this, you have properly warned. Failure is not an option only if you send your loved one here. BTW, I have heard from other outside…

She was admitted to the hospital after their failure to provide proper basic care. They are jr varsity team and need a major overhaul haul. Who ever read this, you have properly warned. Failure is not an option only if you send your loved one here. BTW, I have heard from other outside nurses this place lacks proper staff and training. Never again will we go back. This place is HORRIBLE. My spouse stayed in her urine and #2 for a while before they decided later on to change her, absolutely unacceptable. Diaper rash heaven. I can go on and on but I’m just frustrated. Again you have been warned and I told you so.
I've been here at this facility since late Oct and I must say some of the services need a little work. Their nursing staff needs a little more training and the food here here is less to be desired. I feel they are under staffed because it takes forever for a can to come to your room and help you for just the smallest things. It took me forever just to get a shower here. They have a shower schedule which is less to be desired. And my insurance is paying for this?
I will never take a loved one to this facility. The only good thing I have to say is the wound care nurse was very caring and professional. The nursing staff, are more concerned with sitting at the desk messing with their phones and act inconvenienced by your needs or questions. My husband was there for less than 48 hours. I told the staff that he has an appointment on the second day and asked them to arrange for transport. The CNA I worked with on this was rude and initially said I would have to take my husband, but I made it clear I could not physically do that since my husband had been in…
I will never take a loved one to this facility. The CNA I worked with on this was rude and initially said I would have to take my husband, but I made it clear I could not physically do that since my husband had been in a hospital Bed for 2 months. I was then told they would schedule him to go by ambulance. On day 2 I show up to ride with My husband in the ambulance to the appointment. The driver showed up and no one from the facility was prepared. The CNA in charge of my husband could not be located. I tell another CNA we need to get him in the ambulance, only to find out there is no ambulance and he would be going in a wheelchair in a transport van. The CNA couldn’t figure out how to get my husband from the bed to the wheelchair, so the transport driver had to do it. When we arrived at the doctors office the doctor could not get a blood pressure or oxygen read on my husband. EMS was called and his blood pressure was 85 over 55, so he was transported to the hospital. I went back to Windemere later to get my husbands things and told them what had happened. I asked if tgey had taken his blood pressure that morning and they told me it was 87/55. I was in shock that no one thought that to be a low blood pressure and they proceeded with loading him up in the wheelchair knowing his blood pressure was dangerously low. I was told someone would be calling me to discuss the incident, but nobody ever did. I did get a call while my husband was in the hospital asking if I would be bringing him back there. I explained I would not and why I would not. I then asked if they would be looking into the matter again. The response was “I will look into it, but hopefully things did not occur as you are describing”. I told her I can assure her that they did, in fact, occur exactly as described. I never heard from intone regarding this incident and I consider it neglect.
This facility blew my mind away the care was amazing I was told I would walk in 4 weeks and I walked in 3 weeks I would recommend this to my next loved one and anyone who wishes to have a fast recovery
My family member was there for 1 month. Bad experience. Seven days amount of clothing were dropped off and it took 10 days for someone to find them. She was in a hospital gown for those first 10 days. On our first visit , were told we could see our relative thru the window. When we arrived, I called and was told by staff to go to the window of room 509. I was like really there are no room numbers on the outside windows. We made a total of 4 calls and after 20 minutes we finally found our relative. When our relative was discharged this past Saturday I was instructed to pick a time and they would be ready. We called when we arrived. Well after a 30 minute wait. We called back, the person who answered stated oh I didn't know they had taken her up front. Finally she came out. In her nightgown and not cleaned. Food on her clothing. Clothes thrown in a bag with an open bottle of a liquid substance that spilled in the bag. Not all clothes were returned and had no shoes on. I was very upset. I made a complaint to the gentleman that was in charge.
January 2019 "Horrible" sums it up! Sadly nothing has changed and the problems continue into December 2019. The facility is beautiful; however, the care one receives particuarly for a long stay is lacking and it is VERY expensive when Medicaid / Medicare is not paying the bill (approx $7k per month) ! The staff is not trained to deal with patients who have dementia. The weekends are the worse! There is not enough staff to handle all of the patient's needs! The patients are not checked regularly. You hear patients yelling for "help" because the wait time is so long until they are seen by an aide or nurse. The patients in wheelchairs who are able scoot their way back to their rooms because they get tired of waiting. If you put your loved one in this facility long term make frequent visits to ensure the proper care is being given!
Hands down best facility we have ever used. We were concerned because of the fake reviews later to be found out written by fired employees We went for ourselves. Great therapy. Yes call lights can be longer than at hospital but we dont have call lights at home so this is the next step Mom did got back home fast.
It is truly hard to believe that in this day and age, the facility has no video or security cameras. It's a new facility and it seems like patients' security should be of great concern. Someone in a rehab facility is there for lifesaving care or therapy. The patient should never have to worry about his/her safety in addition to trying to improve his/her health. Due to staffing problems, patient call lights often go unanswered for a long period of time that could result in injury.
