I cannot recommend this place highly enough! From the moment I walk in staff are compassionate, and professional. The nurses are top-notch, always going above and beyond to ensure comfort and well-being. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained and has a welcoming atmosphere. Communication with family members is excellent, always well-informed about loved one's care.

For the last 3 years, both my parents have been residents at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of San Diego and I can't say enough great things about this facility. Cruz Leal, RN/DON and her crew of nurses are top notch in the region, in my opinion. I'm a Doctor of physical therapy up in San Antonio, Texas and am very familiar with nearly every single SNF up here in San Antonio. I can honestly say I would NOT transfer my parents out of Windsor San Diego to a facility up here. The truth is, I've not found a facility up here that even comes close to comparing to the quality of care that Cruz and her nurses provide for my parents. From the minute you walk into Windsor of San Diego you notice nothing but cleanliness, no foul odors in the air and the residents are all calm and peaceful. Over the years, I've gotten to know some of the nurses, such as Rosa, LVN and Ace, LVN that have taken EXCELLENT care of my parents. There are so many more to name, but those two are the main day shift nurses that I usually speak with and they are ALL so very knowledgeable, competent and compassionate Healthcare works. One thing that I am extremely, extremely, extremely grateful for is that it doesn't matter day or night, if anything happens to one of my parents, a nurse will call me to give me report and let me know what is being done to care for them. That gives me great peace of mind to know that they are well taken care of. Finally, above all, I always ask both of my parents how do they like living at Windson plus how are they being cared for, and they both say, "this is home." They have nothing but great things to say about the staff and how they view their caregivers like family now. That's another thing that brings me peace of mind, that I made the right decision for my parents becoming residents at Windson of San Diego. To Cruz and all the staff that works under her, plus the administrator, I thank you greatly from the bottom of my heart and please keep doing what you all do best!!! Facility is clean odor free residents look happy and treated with great respect. The nursing staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you to Lydia Cadena for helping us with Medicaid application. My mother is happy and getting stronger After her hospitalization. Great facility to put your family member in when in need of Rehab Services. A staff are very professional and treat the patients like their own family. The environment is very clean an odor free. The patience are always entertained and made to feel special.
