Tymika Brown is the staffing coordinator at Accel at Willowbend and she is absolutely amazing! She is very helpful to both residents and staff. She goes above and beyond and has made our experience here very pleasant. Thank you Tymika!!
The staff is fantastic here! They always take such great care of our hospice respite patients! Their DON Darinder is on top of it. Their administrator Alex is very hands on with the building and patients. Their admissions Travis is so personable and caring!!
This place is an awful place the employees are rude, meals are always late and not correct you push the help button response takes over 30 minutes to have someone acknowledge the help light.PT employees are awesome but the staff is horrible
This place is awful! I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Except for the Physical Therapists, the staff is rude, uncaring and incompetent. They mixed up my meds and when I could finally get them to administer them to me they acted like they were inconvenienced. God forbid if you ask a question of someone about your care or about a procedure. Get ready to wait a long time if you ring the call button. One afternoon I waited 2 hours for an attendant who showed up with a rotten attitude. I fell out of bed one morning trying to get up so I wouldn’t throw up all over myself and my bed. When two attendants finally showed up they acted like they were inconvenienced and that I did what I did on purpose as to inconvenience them again. I ended up back in the hospital due in part to their negligence. Again, the PT staff was great, but that is the only redeeming factor about this place. I wish I’d never gone there. Don’t subject your loved one to this level of so-called care.
My 93-year-old father is a resident at Accel at Willow Bend, and our family has had a wonderful experience. The nursing staff is compassionate, attentive, and truly cares about the residents. Cinda, who handles his laundry, is very personal and kind, and Patty in the Business Office has been incredibly patient and helpful walking us through the billing process. The physical rehab team even let my father borrow a walker until his arrived and assembled it for him once it did.
Missing iPhone - just disappears from a patient’s room and now they cannot “find” it! Absolutely ridiculous that they cannot locate it when this patient is bed ridden and it’s all he has for a connection to his family and friends! Reporting it lost/ stolen asap! This care facility needs to get serious and show more care - yet when I confronted one of the nurse aids and I said I was concerned or is lost or stolen - he was mouthy and very rude towards me and that is unacceptable!
This facility had a low rating, and it is unwarranted. It is as good as the top 5. All Rehabilitation facilities have staffing problems because there just are not enough people available in the industry, and all companies do not invest (pay their employees enough)in keeping top notch professionals. This is my third time I needed Rehab. I like Accell at Willow Bend better than Prestonwood which is rated number 2 in Plano. The major focus is on rehabilitation first. Activity begins at 8am with breakfast and ends with Lunch and the shift change at 2pm. Same as every Rehab. If you need more nursing Accell is not for you.
Latasha Doss she is a God send & she is very professional … having good people a round makes all the difference in the world. A angel in mercy.
