The staff was always friendly and helpful at the Keller location. While we were frantically trying to find a place for Dad since we could no longer care for him, they expedited the process and we were able to get him moved in the next day. The place was always clean. We had Thanksgiving dinner there, the food was excellent. I did notice they keep a close eye on the residents which is comforting.
The staff was great. They took good care of my mom. She was always clean and dressed. They did activities and tried to involve my mom. The food was good. My only complaint was her clothes would get put away in someone else's closet. The staff would go and hunt them down but it was a little frustrating.

The staff at the Keller facility has been great in caring for my mother. They genuinely care for her just as they would their own mother. They have been great at communicating with me when any issue arises.
The reason we choose Avalon was the low staff turn over then about 6 months in they started having a hug turnover Loosing your memory makes it really hard for the residents to adjust I hope they have fixed this. I would recommend them if they were able to correct the overturning staff.
We continue to be very pleased with our loved ones care at Avalon in Allen. Karescia has been a diligent leader, she is invested in us, and she truly shows how much she cares about her residents, especially our mother. When we address a need, she listens, addresses the need, and follows up on it with us. And we always feel like she has our mothers best interests at heart. We placed Mom in Avalons care 2.5 years ago and it's been the best decision, thanks to Karesecia and the wonderful team she has!
Finding Avalon was an answer to prayer for us for my mother. We had her in two other care homes that were not good fit her. She fell often at the last facility before we moved her to Avalon. The care she received at Avalon was so much better. Everyone was so welcoming and caring. The further along her Alzheimer’s got the more care she needed round the clock. Her caregivers always responded to her needs. My mother ended up in hospice there and received excellent care. I highly recommend Avalon Memory Care.
